Comfortable stay, food good and access to tea and coffee all day is always good. It was windy and stormy weekend, and great to see the waves crashing on the cliffs. Went there for the turtle experience (low season for turtles, but high season for tourists). Been coming here for 15 years with family and friend. Did prefer the old place, there was something great about walking from your hut straight to the beach. Staff were good as always.

Room tip: remember your red head light if your visiting the turtles.

We didn’t like the place at all.
No laundry service and being told to go look for one ourselves. The food is not fresh. We’ve been installed in the bar on our own for dinner with nearly no light, as there was no room in the restaurant.
The view over the plastic colourful children playground gave no possibility to dream of being far away from home. The rooms are ugly and it’s floor sticky with detergent. And the beach is awful.
Far too expensive for what it is.

I liked this place! It had a great vibe to it and offered a unique ambiance. Our room was large and clean with a wonderful front porch. Friends stayed on the upper floors but were sad to miss out on the front porch. The bathroom was gorgeous. There were lots of plugs for phones and cameras, etc. Despite having people upstairs, the room was very quiet at night. Loved the kettle and mini fridge. The restaurant offered buffet-style food. We ate there for both dinner and breakfast and both had many options and was tasty. They were doing some renos to the place but I'm sure it will be great to have the pool and "dhow" restaurant area completed.

The beach was beautiful although you really need to watch out for glass. Seems to be a problem all over Oman's beaches -- lots and lots of glass! Wear your water shoes. Also, some in our group had jellyfish-like stings all over their bodies after swimming in the ocean. So something to watch for. The sunsets are spectacular!

The grounds are lovely with some nice landscaping around the rooms. I enjoyed the small "archaeological site."

Went to the Ras al Jinz Turtle Reserve at night -- definitely something you should do, too!

Overall an enjoyable stay.

I booked the resort and requested by a separate email to inform them that we were coming for wedding anniversary celebration. The staff kept a beautiful small size cake in the fridge and my wife was pleasantly surprised. The resort is clean with good amenities. The staff is caring and attentive. Every trip to Turtle Beach Resort Al Hard is a relaxing one and we look forward to visiting again soon.
