This villa is absolutely stunning. Stayed for 7 days but I wish I could have stayed for 7 weeks. It was very clean and came all with all the mod cons. Incredibly spacious, you never felt crowded. And the pool was just divine. The villa location was just perfect too. Walking distance to shops and restaurants. And a 15 minute drive to Albufeira. Quite honestly, this is without a doubt one of the best villas I have ever stayed in. Highly recommended.
With its spacious layout, sumptuous rooms, and large outdoor pool, Vivendre Salgados is the ideal place for a get together with family and friends. In April 2018, eleven of us spent a week here to celebrate my partner’s 50th birthday. On our arrival, we were greeted by the affable and engaging Manuel (the house manager) who explained the A to Z of everything from how to heat the pool to how to set the alarm. The house has two major attractions: the enormous central lounge and the pool area. The lounge can easily seat more than nineteen people as can the two dining areas when combined. The pool is divided into a shallow end for youngsters and deeper section for the adults. Although the weather during our stay was warm, please be warned - in April, it is wise to pay a little extra to have Manuel turn the pool heater on as the air temperature at this time of year certainly isn’t warm enough to heat the water temperature to ambient. Food can be obtained from the nearby Supermarket (Supermercado Oceano), a short ten minute walk away, and there are at least three excellent restaurants within walking distance. Nearby attractions are many and varied. For nature lovers, there is Lagao Salgados where one can encounter a large variety of birdlife from waders, herons, ducks, and flamingos through to larks, shrikes, and bee-eaters, and Albufeira old town with its many Karaoke bars and restaurants is just a short taxi ride away. In summary, we all agreed that Salgados is a fantastic place to unwind for a week or two. Adrian & Yvette
I realise this is a very late review but finally got round to it.
Right where to start, well from 1st contact with Alison with questions regarding the villa and the availability she could not help enough and said she was always on hand and available for any more questions that we had, the booking confirmation and details were very easy and even had the airport transfers arranged for us.
When we arrived at the villa we was greeted by Manuel who will look after any of your needs and if you want anything just give him a ring and he will try help you out or arrange something for you.
The villa itself is well maintained and very modern and there is plenty of space for everyone the pool area and seating was lovely the kids never wanted to get out of the pool, we had a couple of nights in the villa but ate out most nights and there are some nice restaurants close by.
The villa was kept very clean and we had the towels and bedding changed while we were there, all in all it was a lovely week so nice that we booked again for this year as soon as we got back, but will be hiring cars time as makes getting around a bit easier rather than paying for taxis.
An absolutely fabulous location for family holiday with children friendly restaurants within minutes walk away. The safe fabulous beach is within 20 mins walking distance away with ice cream/refreshment stops on the way! Swimming pool and attention to detail by owners made it extra special. This was a special holiday to celebrate a benchmark birthday with all the family and ticked all the boxes.
Traveled as a large family to Villa Salgados at the end of July for 2 weeks. Our age group ranged from 9 months to 76 years old and the villa was perfect for all. We used the owners service of collection/drop off from airport, which was great. The villa itself had Large bedrooms with large bathrooms, lovely walk in showers, large kitchen, large lounge, and a fantastic swimming pool area outside plus we had a table tennis table and table football. Could not ask for more from the villa. Manuel the manager was on hand to take care of everything and the villa had maid service every week which was a bonus. In the local area, you had a restaurant opposite, which was ok but not great. The beach is a good 20 min walk away, but well worth it as the beach was fantastic, beautiful sandy beach, clear waters, and water sports if needed, really really nice. We ate at the middle restaurant on the beach to your left, a little pricey, but the best fish dinner we have ever had, the food was so fresh and amazing. Small outside bar along side the 3rd restaurant which was really good at night serving lovely cocktails. Small cafe/restaurant as you walk to the beach by the mini roundabout on your right, he served nice dinners well worth a visit, and the small local supermarket was about 10 min walk away, but had everything you needed. The main town of Albufeira was a cab ride away, between 12-15 euros, for old town and new town, well worth a visit, especially the restaurant in new town called The Cockerel Country Kitchen, fantastic food. Overall we had a great holiday, helped by the lovely villa we stayed in. The weather was great as usual. I would recommend this villa to anyone really, but especially big families, great place for everyone to be together. Alison the owner was lovely, easy to contact and took care of everything from start to finish. Will be looking to go back at some pint in the future.
