This little cafe is within a cave. We just had hot drinks and delicious home made cakes all of which were good, however, they also offer a simple menu with stew, etc.

Small gift shop too.

Friendly efficient service.

We had the amazing idea to enjoy a dinner in Artenara on a Sunday evening at 8 pm. The problem was that the village seeming dead and it seemed that nothing was open. We went inside a restaurant but they were already cleaning up. We thought that we would have to go to bed with an empty stomach but then we did see a light full of hope. It was the Arte-Gaia!!! She told us that she had only a few dishes left but we were so happy that we found food. We didn’t have high expectations since we didn’t have any choices and we were totally amazed by the amazing food and wine and especially the service!! She was so lovely and we had a lovely & delicious meal at a great price. Thank you very much, we would give 10 stars if we could!

Lovely to sit outside with a nice view of the monuments. So friendly and delicious food. We were a bit unsure, as veggies, because the menu looked very meaty. But we had the most delicious carrot and courgette stew/soup with corn bread and the tastiest olives. Highly recommended.

We stopped here for drinks and a snack to shelter from a very heavy storm whilst hiking.
The cafe was really welcoming and we were soaking! The delightful lady proprietor kindly tumble dried our wet jumpers and hats whilst we had the most delicious hot chocolate, coffee and chocolate pastries. It was also very good value. Can highly recommend a visit here.

Local food, quality was above average.
Interior of the restaurant/café was inside a cave.
Hostess was very kind and told stories about food we were eating.
The downside was that it turned out rather expensive. Be sure to ask what the price is before you order, so you do not get a bad surprise at the end. As an example, we paid 5 euro for some bread and oil...
We also bought gifts there, which were very nicly wrapped.
All in all a very good experince, apart from the juicy check.
