We didn't set out looking for a country schloss to stay in - we were looking for somewhere affordable for a night near the coast (And the hotels on the Baltic are very pricey). We ended up with something like Downton Abbey.
The building is fantastic - gorgeous country house sat in its own grounds. It's not the Ritz - but it has real charm and charachter. Huge entranceway - sweeping stairways etc etc. Ther lawn faces towards sunset and there is an iddylic small lake to sit beside at the other side of some trees. Blissful.
The room is relativeley basic but perfectly functional and comfortable. Our only quibble was the wifi was awfull in the room - but sitting downstairs in the lobby is no great problem.
Breakfast was nice the dining room is very plush indeed.
We adored this place - wandering around the lawn - sipping coffee watching the sunset in front of the Hotel. OK its a bit isolated, has charachter as opposed to luxury (But its perfectly comfortable !) but its gorgeous !More
