Just PERFECT in every way.

African Bush Camps you have done it again. Linyanti Ebony is the perfect bush camp placed in the perfect setting. This wasn’t our first visit to an African Bush Camp but it was our first visit to Botswana. Let me just say we were not disappointed in either the Linyanti Ebony or Botswana.

Travelling through Africa can sometime be a bit difficult when travelling with 2 kids, but Linyanti Ebony made it effortless. The boys (11 & 13) just loved being greeted with warm smiles, singing, dancing and a giant elephant right at the front entrance. It is like the elephant was placed there just for us. Linyanti Ebony is set in a beautiful location, right on the edge of the Linyanti marsh. The animals roam freely throughout the camp which creates a lot of excitement with the kids and even us adults. We didn’t have to move far to see Elephants, Buffalo, Warthogs, Wildebeest, Zebras, Baboons and cheeky squirrels.

We stay 4 nights in the 2 bedroom family tent which had plenty of room for all of us to stretch out and relax. Our boys loved that plunge pool was just out the front of our tent, it meant they didn’t have to walk far to cool off in the hot afternoon. Cassie, Chef Yum Yum, TH and the whole team do a fantastic job. We were made to feel right at home and nothing it too hard for them. Our boys loved getting to know you all, learning some dance moves, trying new foods and beating you at cards. They never once felt like they should not be there or that it was adult time and they had to be quiet.

Esse – What an adventure you gave us. We saw almost everything we were hoping to see and much much more (except that dam cheetah). Essi showed us animals that I never thought we would be that interested in and now they have become some of our favorites – the Honey badger and Roan. Esse was very patient with the boys and not only listen to their jokes but also laughed with them. He answered every question no matter how silly or how many times they asked. Esse has had a massive impact on them and our youngest was extremely upset to say goodbye. He is already busy planning our next trip back to visit the Great ESSE.

Linyanti Ebony you should be very proud of yourselves. You have created a magical place in the middle of the hot African bush.

We were told once when visiting another African Bush Camp location – You arrive as strangers and leave like family. That exactly how we felt.

The people are at the heart of this amazing experience. If you get an opportunity ask to hear about their stories and their families. James 007 picked up my parents, brother, myself & our friend at the airport and the adventure began with an old fashioned African massage lots of laughter & beautiful landscapes. 007 took such special care of my parents during our visit. Thank you James. He provided so much education about Botswana & the animals. He led us on amazing adventures to find "Big Boy" the Leopard, lions, & wild cats. One beautiful memory was watching the sun gone down surrounded by a plethera of elephants relaxing in the river. The singing & dancing were special we were invited into the community. Cassie you & your team were such a blessing to my family & our friends. God bless each of you. Gretchen

We travelled for three weeks with Africa Bush Camps facilities which ranged from an expedition camping Linyanti to Thorn Tree air conditioning in Zambia. This is a very well run group of camps, mostly tented and for small groups. We had canoe rides , walks and night and day game drives. Our guides were excellent and knowledgeable and very compassionate with the animals. Our stay in Linyanti was at Somalisa where there was a small pool filled with water for elephants and other animals and a deck that was right next to the animals! it was a place you could sit at for hours and watch. Out trip included lodges in Botswana, Zimbabwe and Zambia. Most of our travel was by small airplanes from camp to camp. At the end of our trip wie went to MalaMala in South Africa. This is a large facility, more commercial, but had excellent guides and we saw many different animals, especially lion and leopard. What a wonderful experience it was.

Room tip: This is not a hotel experience; there were tented camps and lodges.

My fiancé and I loved our stay at Linyanti Bushcamp! We enjoyed that this camp felt remote, but great accommodations. The tent was nice, had a couch, bathroom, and nice room. It wasn’t overly fancy, but very comfortable. The lodge was very nice and had a great view of the marsh where we often saw herds of elephants and buffalo. The food was excellent, and never went hungry! We really felt at home here. The staff was so nice and friendly, especially Lebo, she was great!

Our guide Des was amazing! He’s into photography and taught us a lot, as well as made sure we got great photos (good angles, lighting). We really enjoyed our game rides. We saw lots of elephants and buffalo, large herds. We saw lots of zebra, hippo, impalas, etc. while there wasn’t a pride of lions that had claimed that territory there are some that come through often and we were lucky to see male and female lions, and mating as well! Maybe they stuck around! Saw leopard as well.

We stayed 3 nights and got a 30 min helicopter ride with Liam, which was AWESOME! Such a great way to see the terrain and animals.

This might have been one of our favorite stops on our 3 week trip, just great overall experience.

Thanks team Linyanti for a great experience!

We stayed at the new Linyanti Expeditions sister site for our honeymoon and had an incredible visit. The location is beautiful, with incredible sunset views across the Linyanti marshes into Namibia. Wildlife sightings were great, from lions and leopards to huge herds of elephants, buffalo, and antelope. The camp is understated but tasteful with a great fire pit area and a nice screen patio area in the rooms. Most importantly, the guiding was fantastic and the service and food were top notch. We had very knowledgeable guiding on daily drives, night drives, and even a walking safari to the airport on the final day. Would love to come back!

We were overwhelmed by the hospitality at this camp. The atmosphere was relaxed, fun and very enjoyable. The drives were impressive. Food and beverage delicious. Tent was well appointed. The range of activities kept us busy and interested. It went by much too quickly. The hostess Lebo, our guides, Des and Gilbert, our pilot, Liam, and the entire staff created the trip of a lifetime for us. It was difficult to leave and we already miss the entire team. ❤️
