We visited Oistins on the recommended Friday night as they have some gift stalls and entertainment on a stage with dancers and music.
It gets very busy and we were here out of season but well worth a visit and nice fresh fish and chips to enjoy and would recommend it whilst you are here as we had a great time with the locals and fellow holiday makers.

Arrive early if you’re going, head down along the pier to see the turtles where locals are feeding them and watch the sunset - stunning
The locals will really push you to eat in their place so be ready for it
The food was ok - nothing special but it was more the atmosphere that sells this place.
The toilets don’t have any toilet paper- not even a holder !! So bring napkins!!
Music was good where the locals were dancing but there was a huge stage where there was just young lad dancing/fooling about - thought this could have had a band on or something to make it better
Dinner for 2 and 2 drinks each was £87 Barbados dollars

It has a nice lively atomsphere with people dancing and old reggae music playing from all angles. The food was..ok... The stall we ate from (forgotten the name) basically ran out of most menu options by 9pm, so I guess the trick is to go early. The marlin that we ended up having was great though!

Like everyone else we ventured to Oistin's. We took a local taxi which is $1 USpp. We arrived during the early evening so the most activity we saw was eating and people walking around. There are many many food vendors to choose from.
Overall this wasn't for me. This is alot like a community fair with vendors that sell food, crafts and jewlery.

The sales staff for each resturant will offer to seat you right away, if you're not ready, politely decline and they will leave you alone.

I had heard a lot about the Oistin’s fish fry and it didn’t disappoint. The flying fish was the best I had in Barbados, and combined with a couple of Banks beer and macaroni pie it was sublime. Lots of tourists but lots of Bajans as well. Great music and lots of kids and adults having fun. Highly recommended.
