We stayed at the Neptune paradise beach resort in July 31st to 5th of August
Pros;
White sand beach
Good food variety
Clean pool
Clean bedrooms and shower facilities
Plenty of sun beds
Good entertainment
Cons;
Too much hassle with the beach boys
They try to sell you anything they can get their hands on and all surround you
Beach has so much seaweed that you are unable to see what you are stepping on
Plenty of sea orchid urchins so be careful
We found the lettuce was never washed properly so many times we had bugs in it
They clearly have a problem with the fresh fruit section as many fruit flies are about and all they do is put a fan near by which don’t do much
Too many monkeys in this resort cause problems when you go looking for food etc
Keeps you in your toes
Shower room doesn’t drain water well so the entire room
Become flooded by the time you have just washed your hair
The bar is so laid back it’s difficult to know if they are doing it on purpose
Check out is 10am regardless of where you booked it and what they said
They will charge you for a full day for late check out which is not available when the hotel is full
Then you will have to pay 45USD to eat etc
The reception are not helpful at all they keep passing the buck rather than sorting it etc

All the rooms are situated very far and all the trees and plants cause too many insects to be about
We saw many poisonous spiders hanging off the trees the size of your hand and millipedes as long as 20cm
Plenary of mosquitos because of the plantation
Only book ground floor accommodation as the stairs are full of cobwebs and other insects
Always check your food just before eating it as we found a bee still alive in the cake

Overall rating would be 5 out of 10
I’m just being real and telling you how it is
To be honest based on the cost you get what you have paid for in that area

The hotel is in a good location with a beautiful beach. There is a slope down from the rooms to the pool area and the beach so someone with disabilities should choose rooms closer to the pool and beach as all restaurants are close to that area.

The rooms are reasonably nice, not the best appointed rooms and definitely need a bit more tlc to bring them up to standard. The towels were a bit rough and not brilliant white. A lot of corrosion around the taps and the water is very saline so can’t use that for brushing teeth and need to use bottled water which is provided in the rooms. The saline water is not great to bathe with as you can’t get any lather from soaps.

The restaurants are big and plenty. The food is amazing, there is a massive variety. And shared restaurants with other member resort hotels means there is an abundance of choice. The cleanliness in the restaurants is not brilliant and there are a number of flies around which can get irritating.

Now the amazing service! There are two people in bar who were exceptional. Ruth from Kisumu and Silas, both went very much out of their way to make everything really perfect for us. Very much felt looked after by them both! Great team at the bar!
