“Lovely house in a great location”
Reviewed 29 May 2017 for a stay in May 2017

The house was perfect for a week away in the Cairngorms.

Large comfortable living-room, modern kitchen and comfortable bedrooms. A big bonus is the two modern bathrooms - and one of the best showers I've found in a holiday rental! The house was clean and tidy when we arrived - with tea, coffee and shortbread ready for us, and there was not an onerous list of cleaning tasks to do before we left again.

The house is in a peaceful location with some nice walks nearby (there are handy maps and lots of leaflets provided) and there's so much in easy driving distance (the Highland Wildlife park is 1 mile down the road, Kingussie is about 5 miles and Aviemore 6).

The owner was very helpful in answering my queries before booking too.

“Peaceful location close to ameneties”
Reviewed 22 April 2017 for a stay in February 2017

We spent a lovely few days here with my parents who were visiting from abroad. The house is spacious and very well equipped, surrounded by beautiful birch trees adding to its charm. It was wonderful waking to birdsong and the big windows made one feel in touch with the beautiful outdoors!

The bedrooms are large and comfortable, and good quality bedding were used. There are two bathrooms which added to the comfort. The house also has a very effective heating system and very well equipped Kitchen.

My daughter enjoyed feeding the red squirrel and birds and there are lovely walks that one can undertake from the house. The owner has a good guide put together with lots of info about things to do. Aviemore has a good collection of shops and a lovely little Tesco's that had everything we needed.

The only criticism I have is that the house did not appear to have been hoovered properly when we arrived, this was however quickly sorted out as there was a good quality hoover available and this did not distract at all from the quality of our stay.

Finally, the owner communicated really clearly with us, responded to emails quickly and kept us informed of anything we needed to know about prior to our departure.

Great stay, good memories made and could recommend this lovely house to a family who just want to have a peaceful breakaway from it all.

“Relaxing woodland break.”
Reviewed 11 April 2017 for a stay in April 2017

We have stayed a few times in this area and this was one of the best locations we have had. Great walks and cycling from the door - nice to not use the car for a few days. Loch Insh very near and loads of wildlife to spot. Nice and quiet, but not remote. Everything else (shops, amenities, other attractions within 10 min drive). House very clean and well equipped for a relaxing stay. Plenty of room for 4 of us and the dog. Garage great for bike storage and table tennis! Two bathrooms a real bonus and a good shower. Very pleasant woodland garden and we even managed to enjoy some sunshine on the terrace!

“Great house, great place, wonderful holiday.”

Had a lovely holiday here. The house is easy to get along with - very well equipped, very comfortable and clean and large - plenty of room/places to put your belongings. Garage huge - made storing outdoor gear really easy (this can be a nightmare, but not here!). Garden is very large with trees and shrubs. Wi-fi included - a feature our teenager loved as, with most teenagers, he needs to be in contact with the world 24/7 but for those who don't, this house is in a quiet setting and is very relaxing. Garden has resident red squirrels, hedgehog and lots of birds, occasional visiting rabbit. Patio area great for enjoying garden dining. Owner lovely, very helpful with excellent information before booking and plenty of information about the house and area provided on arrival. Mountain biking down Cairngorm is well worth the £, (free) dolphin watching at Chanonry Point was amazing.
