I booked a trip with my 2 children to stay in the Santa Fe hotel however when we arrived they had over booked and after about 30 mins we were given a free upgrade to this hotel. We had a free transfer to the hotel and had to wait about 15 mins to check in. Our room a big and spacious with 2 queen size beds a table and chairs, big bathroom and closet area. There was also a mini bar but we opted to empty this and stash our nibbles and drinks instead. The hotel was beautiful and upkept and everyone was very friendly. In the morning we went to enjoy the free continental breakfast which had lots of choices but could do with a bit of bacon and eggs in my opinion. There was also a very large exotic fish tank on the way to the breakfast room which really helped set the theme for this hotel. Every morning there were characters in the lobby taking pictures with the children which was lovely to see especially as the queues in the parks for meet and greet were ungainly long. The rides were great and it's a real family fun experience. I would recommend that if you go with small children or your little one gets tired easily, hire a pram it saved my little ones feet even though they were both of walking age and it just made them happier as this trip involved a lot of walking. We also used the free shuttle bus to and from the park but the walk isn't long the the view is lovely. The park food was very expenaive for what you get. 3 hot dogs 2 small fries and 3 bottled of water was about €26. If you bring your own snacks I would recommend this or wrap up some food from the free buffet. The hotel doesn't mind this as the staff assured us this was ok as if the foo isn't eaten it gets thrown away. As a single mum i try and budget where ever possible. Enjoy making memories as this place was truly magical.

On arrival, check in was pretty chaotic but luckily we had compass club so had a separate check-in, although this still took 20-30 minutes. We were taken through to the compass club “lounge” to help ourselves while we waited to soft drinks/coffee. We were told our bags would be taken up to our room, wrong, we eventually got to our room and waited nearly half an hour for our suitcases before we had to go back down to reception to chase them up!

Breakfast was served in the compass club room and was a pretty impressive spread including all the usual English breakfast, pancakes, continental, cereals and fruit etc etc. Staff were generally all very friendly. Coffee was great.

Our room was on the 8th floor and was pretty similar to standard rooms I’ve stayed in at Disney before eg. Sequoia lodge. I was expecting a bit ‘more’ for a compass club room. There was a broken drawer and we had one bottle of water on day one, which wasn’t replaced the next day so a bit naff. The lake view was lovely. The first evening we had turn down service and chocolates on the pillow - not on our second night. We had a coffee machine in our room but no pods - We asked for some coffee which never arrived, the second day we asked for some toilet roll and about an hour later someone appeared. Trying to get through to reception for anything was a joke.
The walls are paper thin so the first nights sleep was awful due to the family next door rolling in about 1am, chatting and laughing and then blow drying their hair until 2am!!!!

The pool and the changing rooms is strangely layed out. On our last day the weather was gorgeous so we went to the outdoor pool to relax and make the most of the sun after being at the park all day, we were there about half an hour before they closed the outdoor pool and made everybody go inside which was disappointing.

Our package included one fast pass per person per day for the Disney parks, however not for use between 1pm and 4pm which was annoying.

I would stay here again but I was just expecting more for the amount we paid, next time we will probably just stick to one of the cheaper Disney hotels or just a standard room as we received the same level of service we’ve experienced elsewhere.

We've visited Disneyland together with our two grandchildren ( 8 and 12 years old), their parents haven't join us. You can imagine that it was great for us both adults and kids. Our package was including breakfast but because of internet reasons we could not have it at the hotel but in the village, this was the only bad thing for us. By the way, our rooms were too far from the elevators, this also was tiring.

Great location- walkable so you don’t need a shuttle. Early hour (access to parks before general public) offer is also a great value! And when your child will see & meet Disney character right in the lobby - it can be a real Wow moment for your family!

Stayed in the compass club 2 adults 3 children , private check -in which was calm and stress free I checked in while the rest of the family were led to the lounge to have an afternoon tea, room was spacious with extra bed made up and cases in the room on arrival.
Didn’t eat at the hotel for dinner as was in the parks from morning to evening but the buffet breakfast was lovely lots of choice and kids enjoyed it.
