This is not a 5 star hotel in any way, except for the price. Here I will list only a few details that are unimaginable and incompatible with a 5-star hotel:
- there is no bidet in the room.
- there is no door in the bathroom
- the space / box with the toilet bowl is approx. 1m2, there is no ventilation at all (!!!), when a person of medium height sits on the bowl with his knees and his head touches the door! this is at the level of 2 stars max.
- out of the 3 nights we were in the hotel, not a single day we received, for example, body lotion and other bathroom necessities (shampoo, soap, etc.), which is basic standard in 5-star hotels, especially 5 star hotels with SPA.
- the staff (maids) do not speak Croatian, German, nor English (!!!???)
- TV that cannot be seen from the bed (placed around the corner!)
- as for the food, there is lot of different food, but the ingredients are at the level of those available in any supermarket, nothing is exclusive in any way.
- garage 50-100m away, in case of rain you have to drag luggage without any help.
- the entrance to the hotel is completely unmarked (it's hard to find at night)
In short, value for many is very very poor, this is not level of 5 stars (maybe only the part with the sauna, which is apparently recently renovated, and looks like 5 stars)
I would certainly suggest to the management that they visit a couple of 5-star hotels, and even a competitive family hotel in Rabac, I'm sure that in the first 15 minutes they will notice how far they are from that level.
All in all, if this will be 3 or 4 star hotel, everithing will be ok, but if you call yourself a 5 star hotel and have very high prices, then the experience can be only marked as terrible.
