I'd read reviews on the lodge before coming but booked on a recommendation. I didn't regret it, the staff were incredibly helpful and the manager Shawna couldn't do enough for us. The lodge is in a wonderful setting with the most amazing walks and views. Our lodge had a wood burning fire which made for 2 lovely nights drinking wine and chatting into the early hours. The bathrooms are in need of updating but are clean and have everything you need. A great overnight stop on the garden route as there are lots of adventures to be had within a short drive

Our "little house" was placed next to the woods which was so stunning. We took walks there. The look and feel of the wood in the little house is lovely.

The food is good and filling.

The staff is friendly.

We had a really nice time.

Overall good value for money, nice atmosphere with minor things to be improved, especially concerning the sanitary installations.
Friendly and supportive staff, excellent breakfast and donner menue.

Spa staff undersized during our stay ( only one person)

We stayed at the Lodge while we were competing in the Storms River traverse. The staff were extremely friendly and accommodating by providing us with their wonderful breakfast early (at 7am) so that we could be on time for our race start and allowing us to check out late so that we could pack up after our race finished on the Sunday.
