My first time visiting Puglia wouldn't be the same without the amazing experience I had in Mulino a Vento. I think the top aspect was the stuff which was so kind and helpful.
Every morning Daniela came to us during breakfast and helped us decide where to go next.
In addition, the hotel is organising amazing events almost every night like pasta making class, Wine and Olive Oil tasting and local music and dance night. Also, the pool, rooms, restaurants and bars are so well kept and you can't not to feel spoiled, which is all you really after when you come for a relaxing vacation.
We already decided to come again at some point.

I only ever write a review if the hotel is either dreadful or in this case truly exceptional. All the staff and the owners went out of there way to be kind and helpful. They clearly want you to have a great stay. There is a large swimming pool and well kept gardens in which the rooms sit. We slept so well here in a large bright room which even had tea making facilities. Not something you often get in Italy ! Breakfast was wonderful... home made bread , preserves and pastries. Eggs cooked to order. Giuseppe kept encouraging us to try everything ! Luckily we were on a walking holiday to burn off the calories but sadly it meant only one night here !

Was staying here for a few days ( the hotel is excellent by the way)- and tried the restaurant. Despite the wonderful setting the food wasn’t up to the same standard. With the exception of the prawn risotto, which was wonderful the other dishes we tried were quite bland and a couple turned up cold. May have got a ‘bad day’ but expected better.

This resort whilst only having 3 stars offers a 5 star experience. The rooms are set in bungalow style around a beautiful well maintained pool. The staff are friendly and the the old olive oil mill is definitely worth a visit with Monia providing an excellent translation of its unique history, typical of the area. We arrived before check in time, when the restaurant was just closing, but the staff were able to make a delicious cheese/meat platter for our lunch whilst we waited. We had organised a private cooking class by email in advance for our group of 4. This was definitely one of the highlights of our holiday in Puglia, with chef Aldo showing us how to make 4 courses with local ingredients and us taking part in pasta making and Monia translating. Our dietary requirements of gluten free and vegetarian were both accommodated and the food provided was by far the best eaten in 7 days in Puglia. The hotel is very close to Otranto which is well worth a visit, especially the Tree of Life mosaic in the cathedral. Also within easy reach is Lecce, or the local beaches.
The staff go out of their way to make your stay special. Would 100% recommend
