We had a fantastic weekend getaway right next to the river. Facilities and bathrooms well equiped and clean. We even managed to catch a very nice carp on Sunday morning, definately a highlight for my son.

Review of Sitrusoewer River Camp

We decided as a family that we want to go camping for the holidays, but not by the oceans side. A friend of mine referred me Sitrus Oewer Camp, and we book and the rest was history.
What a pleasant stay, from point of arrival to the last step into the car. I do not know where to start, from the river on our front door, fishing rods next to the braai, swimming in the river, the boats.. and then the play area for the kids. Its just well maintained and oiled machine that they have got running here at Sitrus Oewer Camp.
The kids enjoyed the swimming and the river boats so much, and to experience the safe outdoors was what got them and us going through the day. The ablutions are cleaned daily, and always in clean conditions, with the shower and toilet that you have for yourself, making it a lot easier for the kids and family to run through a quick shower.
We have already made our next booking to go camping this year, and bringing more family members with.
Overall a 10 out of 10 experience for us, and I can recommend it to anyone.

Room Tip: I say budget as it is very cost effective, but the value for money that you get here is Luxury.

The campsite is located next to the river so fishing is on the cards. Electric points at all stands and everything is well maintained. Driving through the orchard to get to the site is beautiful. Ablution facilities are neat and well located and we were pleasantly surprised upon arrival. Me and my son stayed here only one night of our road trip, but thoroughly enjoyed it. If camping in the area, this is the spot to do it - not just for one night, but for longer stay also.

Thank you for an amazing 5 days at your River Camp. The facilities were outstanding and our chalet had everything we needed and was very clean. A very relaxing environment and the kids had an amazing time swimming, canoeing and playing up at the kids area with jungle gym and trampoline. I hardly saw my 4 year old the whole week except at feeding time. It was such a pleasant surprise when we arrived and well worth the trip.

What a gem of a place! Hands on management, making sure guests are happy. The facilities are clean and well stocked. The only let down was having to pack up and come back home. We will most definitely be back for another visit.

We had the most awesome stay at Sitrusoewer. Our chalet was clean, neat and had everything we required for our stay. Very safe location and roads were nice and quiet towards town so that i could go for a long run. Great getaway for the family.
