Not many restaurants to choose from but this was a disappointment. Food was not good. Service and cleanliness was however good. Parking available. Free WiFi.

After more than 600 km through the green hills of the Eastern Cape ( old Transkei), we were tired and hungry, and when we saw the Steers sign we did not hesitate to stop there.
The two ladies were friendly and did bring our food to our table.
We had the King- and Prince- Combo’s and a nice Soft Serve and chocolate sause afterwards. Everything was delicious and well worth the money. Face it,eating at these places are not cheap, but if you get your moneys worth, you really do not mind.
And chatting to the two friendly ladies who took care of us,were so wonderful and entertaining. We enjoyed our burgers and ice cream!

As strangers to the area,we enquired on directions to another eating place in the town as I'm not a fast food fundi the manager sent my sister , a visitor from The UK and I from Natal into the darkest roads in.Craddock. instead of telling us it was just across the street . Thank you sir for making us feel unwelcome. Perhaps this has something to do with the fact your place was almost empty. Pity it's this kind of thing they keeping the tourists away from our beautiful country .

We stopped in Cradock on Sunday when all the recommended restaurants and coffee shops were closed - as was the beautiful looking Olive Schreiner Museum. Apart from the churches, the town was dead - and the sprawling graveyards were alive with litter. More litter even than the rest of town.... So apart from filling up with petrol, we thought we would not stop, and then we found Steers. Its a mass market fast food chain place, but was very clean, the food was well cooked and tasty enough, the staff were friendly and served us at the table, the main road setting is convenient with good streetside parking, and there is a pleasant fenced garden area as well. Unless you are religious or want to start a plastic recycling business, this may be the best thing in Cradock on a Sunday.
