This cottage should be approached from Buncrana, taking the road northward through the spectacular Mamore Gap. It is located in Urris, a small stretch of land between the mountains and the open sea. While the modern cottage is located very close to the sea (it takes a walk of about 15 minutes to be at the coast and ca. 30 minutes to be at a beach) you cannot actually see the sea from the cottage. Instead you have southwards a spectacular view of the mountains from the kitchen, the living room and the master bed room. This is not just an amazing sight during daytime but also during clear nights and a full moon when the moon rises over the mountains.
This is an individual cottage on its own land in the middle of a rural settlement. It is modern with a big kitchen, a living room including a fireplace, a master bed room, and two other bedrooms. There are two terraces outside, one for the morning and one for the evening. Central heating is provided but we used mainly the fireplace during September.
We stayed here for a week and enjoyed every day, feeling privileged to be in such an area of outstanding natural beauty.
The only problem were the directions to the cottage which were simply misleading and recommended an approach from Clonmany which is not as short and as beautiful as the road through Mamore Gap. Fortunately, the host helped us by phone to find the cottage and it was promised to fix the directions which are sent by email.
