“A very special place”
Reviewed 6 September 2015 for a stay in August 2015

A spotless, well equipped cottage in a perfect setting, seconds to the unspoilt peaceful Tullagh Strand and minutes from the amenities of Clonmany. A warm welcome greeted us and we wasted no time in exploring the local area. Recommend McFeeley's Bar and Spring Chinese in Clonmany for first night essentials and Supervalu in either Carndonagh or Buncrana for supplies.

Our children, 14 and 11, felt safe and stimulated by things to occupy them both inside and outside the cottage. the weather didn't stop them playing in the sea and there was an eclectic mix of DVD's to occupy them while they dried off!

Plenty to do locally if you like outdoor pursuits. Glenevin Waterfall, Pollan Strand, 5 Finger Strand and Kinnagoe Bay to mention a few. The whole area is stunningly beautiful, very hilly but a glimpse of the deep blue Atlantic is never far away. We were bowled over by Inishowen in so many ways.

We found locals very welcoming, extremely polite, friendly, accommodating and safe on the roads. If you want the trappings of tourism such as souvenir shops and gaudy pubs you will be disappointed but a few more loos wouldn't have gone amiss! It really is off the beaten track here and all the better for it.

Further afield, take the Lough Foyle Ferry to the Giant's Causeway; shopping in Letterkenny: Glenveagh National Park and Kealy's Seafood Restaurant in Greencastle. For the perfect reminder of your trip please visit Sharon McDaid's Silver Birch Gallery in Carndonagh. She's incredibly talented and perfectly captures the mood of Inishowen.

Overall we couldn't fault our holiday. The accommodation was a real home from home. Cosy, comfortable and well thought out. The perfect location for a relaxing holiday, we will definitely be back!

“Beautiful peaceful getaway”
Reviewed 28 June 2015 for a stay in June 2015

My husband & I stayed with our four yr old daughter for a week in June. We decided that clonmany beach house was just what we were looking for as our daughter just loves the beach, we were not disappointed........... It was so peaceful & beautiful, a real hideaway from busy life! In the mornings we took our daughter down onto beach & went left to rock pools to look for wee beasties with a net, then back up to play with the array of outdoor toys that Terence & Lorraine have set up for kids, it was great memories! We couldn't of asked for more, thank you Terence & Lorraine for allowing us to stay at your little hideaway..........we hope to come back soon & make more memories.

“Perfect”
Reviewed 28 April 2015 for a stay in July 2014

This is nearly a year late but better late than never! Myself, my partner and the children stayed at the beach house over what was probably the hottest week of the year last July. Apart from the beautiful house, outside space, decking and beach, the weather was absolutely idyllic. We couldn't have wished for more. This house has everything you'll need and is well equipped. Its clean, spatious and we arrived to a beautifully set table with tea, fresh scones and apple cake!

We brought some deck chairs down to be beach most nights and just sat with a few beers overlooking the bay. Myself and the kids even went swimming at midnight, that's how warm the water was.

This house would be booked quite early in the year so i'd get in quick for 2016 if I were you. We'll probably tow our wee touring caravan down to Tullagh Bay some time and park it in the caravan site up the road, just so we can overlook that beach again!

Many thanks to Lorraine for making our stay a great one. We always laughed when she cycled out for the evening with her wee minature yorkie (Lucy) in the basket in front!

Thanks again Lorraine
