Got to stay on a couple of days after a recent business trip at this hotel which was well worth it. It's very quiet and tranquil and with a plunge pool in every room it's easy to keep yourself to yourself. It's a very clean hotel. The bed is extremely comfortable but for some reason we didn't sleep as well as we thought we would. Could be the ceiling fan or the air con.

We had a very secluded villa right on the end so didn't get beach walkers stumbling into our garden and had a peaceful view of the sea.

The service in general was very good, room cleaning, turn down service etc. We were even given use of a room on our check out day because we had a late flight.

There is a good pool area with complimentary towels and complimentary water sports etc, when the sea isn't too rough. The area is in a lagoon so generally it's calm.

My only minor gripes were:
It's pricey. A bottle of water at dinner cost £5 and it was a bit disappointing when we were charged for two of these despite only having one.
The food is generally good but some things can be a bit hit and miss. My wife had to send back a chicken dinner as it wasn't cooked properly.
The restaurant service could be a little better. It's easy to get ignored especially at breakfast. On some occasions you may have to ask for tea/coffee/orange juice several times before you get it.

We loved the hotel, the island and the people are very friendly.

Room Tip: On the island facing out to sea

Thank you for taking the time to share the experience of your stay on TripAdvisor.

I am delighted that you appreciated your villa location and enjoyed the privacy as well as the sea views. Great that you value the services of our housekeeping team, making sure that they villa is cleaned and comfortable.

Disappointed to learn that although you mentioned that the bed was great, but couldn't sleep well. Will ask the team to check the fan and aircon. In regards to pricing, please note that we are in-line with the other luxury properties on the island. Will certainly cascade your comments on the food quality and service to our Executive Chef for immediate action, I sincerely apologies for the inconveniences caused.

Again, thank you for your feedback and I hope we have the pleasure of welcoming you back in the future!

Best regards,

We were there with the Infoblox group and were very impressed with all facets of the resort. We extended our trip a few extra days and were well taken care of. Special should out to a few - Rambo, Jayon and Kamlesh for making our trip extra special.

Between the 22nd - 26th February 2018, my wife and I spent the most memorable stay in this hotel, the Four Seasons Mauritius at Anahita, including having our dream wedding come true... and none of this would have been possible without the great team of people working at Four Seasons, but especially Mr Vashish Harradon who is the Sales and Events Coordinator in this hotel.

It is solely based on his professionalism and approach that we chose Four Seasons at Anahita for our big day.

From the start, as we exchanged emails in January, his support and input, as well as promptness and eagerness to make our special day even more special, made us realize that Mr Vashish was going to be our go-to person. As emails were exchanged, our perfect dream wedding took more and more shape.

Once we got to the resort, no efforts were spared by the Four Seasons crew to make our stay that more special. Mr Vashish made it a point to personally greet us on arrival and the room upgrade was a sweet touch. The room is all one could dream of and we hardly wanted to leave our accomodation just because of the comfort and privacy it afforded.

Despite all the paperwork that needs to be done so as to have a civil wedding in Mauritius, Mr Vashish arranged everything for us prior to our arrival so that only the final paper pushing will be required with minimum hassles once we get there. This efficiency also allowed us some time to shop for wedding rings too, something we had not managed to do prior to our arrival. As a result, we were already set on getting married without rings. But Mr Vashish made sure that even this 'negligence' from our side was correctly catered for.

On the day, Mr Vashish offered us various options as regards to wedding venue due to our originally agreed venue no longer being available due weather damage. He spared nothing to ensure we have the perfect venue and indeed it was. The privateness of the space allocated to us, the amazing venue and perfect setup made our celebration intimate and dreamy.

And whilst his team prepared for our wedding dinner, Mr Vashish ensured we can take all the photos and videos we desire from all the locations we could imagine in the resort, spending as much time with us as we needed, until we were fully satisfied.

Even after we left Mauritius and the whole holiday seemed like a memory or a dream gone by, Mr Vashish reminded us about the reality of it all as he chased and followed up on our marriage certificates and posted them to us.

Never did I hear this gentleman complain. Never did I see him frown. All the while, throughout our interaction with Mr Vashish, I got to know him for the professional that he is, for the pride that he takes in his work, and for the friendly approach he offers.

We will be forever thankful to all at Four Seasons Mauritius at Anahita for sharing a few days in their paradise with us, but we are forever grateful to Mr Vashish for making our dream wedding come true.

A sincere, and heartfelt thank you. Keep up the great work that you do and never change or stop making people's dreams come true in your own special way.

My husband and I stayed at this remarkable resort for 13 nights in Feb/March 2017. We were in a garden view villa which was in a peaceful and quite location, not far from the main reception area. The villa itself was beautifully furnished, the bed was really comfy and the bathroom the height of luxury, with both indoor and outdoor shower. The view from our villa sunbeds was of beautiful botanical shrubs and plants, with exotic birds and the very large Mauritian fruit bats flying over early evening. Although there are many villas in this resort, because of the layout and structuring of the gardens, you wouldn't know. It is just so quiet and peaceful.

Towards the end of our stay, there was a whole day of rain which resulted in a leak in the dressing room in our villa. We reported it and within an hour, were offered a beach villa as an alternative. However, on viewing it, we decided to stay where we were as the beach villa did not offer nearly as much privacy as the garden villa, albeit there was a fabulous view of the sea. So, if privacy is important to you, you might consider this.

The food in all the restaurants was superb. There was a huge choice at breakfast plus fresh orange juice served at your table, and a vast menu of cooked items. Dinners were excellent too, again a large selection to choose from but they were also very happy to make changes or cook something special for you.

It was incredibly humid during our stay and we were delighted that the dress code allows gentlemen to wear (smart) shorts to dinner in all the restaurants. This makes the dining experience so much more comfortable and was greatly appreciated.

However, what really makes this resort so special, is its staff. Every single person spoke to or acknowledged you with a friendly smile or greeting. Within a day or two of our arrival, the restaurant staff greeted us by name and were so gracious with their service. Our villa attendant, Nandanee, was always asking if we needed anything and kept our villa beautifully clean and well stocked with teabags and milk! It seems unfair to single out people as literally everyone was so helpful and kind, but we particularly remember Siva and John-Paul in Beau Champ/Bambou, and the delightful Smithi in Bambou, who arranged a special Mauritian meal for us one evening. Also the lovely staff in the O bar. Over the course of our holiday, we were often asked by more senior members of staff if everything was ok and you really felt they cared, not just paying 'lip service'.

The only negative was that every evening in the O bar, there was a gentleman smoking a very pungent smelling cigar. Wherever you sat (inside or out), you could not get away from the smoke and this spoilt many an evening drink for us. I believe that in the UK, smokers have to be a certain distance away from the main building and I do think this should be considered in the future for the comfort of other guests.

However, this did not spoil a truly memorable holiday and we hope we will be lucky enough to be able to visit again next year.

The Four Seasons hotels can be relied upon to deliver luxury, attentive and friendly service, and lovely surroundings and the FS @ Anahita is no exception. This is one of the larger resorts we have been at but the fact that the rooms come in the form of villas, nestled about luscious vegetation gives the place the air of a village rather than a sprawling hotel complex. Because the place is large, it boasts 4 restaurants (one of which, Il Forno, will require that you take a shuttle to the golf are of the resort) and together cover a vast range of cuisines. I particularly recommend trying the Chef's Table at Beau Champ and having the Mauritian menu so you discover local dishes and how they incorporate spices. But Indian, Chinese, French, Japanese and Italian cooking is also on offer. We were comparatively let down by the Italian place where the pasta was overcooked and the pizza dough soggy -- something to look into please! All the restaurants are nicely decorated and, at Beau Champ, fish come to greet you while you dine. There are two beaches, one near the restaurant Bambou and the two main pools, and another, called Quiet Beach so you get the drift. There are loungers and umbrellas and friendly attendants to help you with beach towels as well as food and drinks right there. The villas are marvellous, each coming with a plunge pool which is perfect to chill -- but also to exercise in! Each villa has a garden and you get your own private loungers. There is a covered terrasse with an outdoor living room and a table for your breakfast (if not more). Inside, amenities are first class but what I remember most is the wonderfully comfortable bed and the outdoor shower. We were somewhat unlucky with the weather as 2018 has been a very wet summer for Mauritius but we have organised to return next week - hoping everything will be the same but less wet!

Room Tip: Villas overlooking Quiet Beach are particularly nicely located
