I stayed as part of a small group for 5 days, and the good things i had heard about this small hotel were fully confirmed. The hotel has plenty of parking, comfortable rooms, and serves wonderful food. The welcome was warm and friendly, and in spite of the restrictions imposed by Covid-19 the homely feel of the place was maintained. I will definitely visit again.

My husband and I stayed here for 2 nights while doing the NC500. The place is lovely with a real warm homely feel to it. The owners and staff couldn’t be more welcoming, and very informative about the area. The food is amazing and the menu changes slightly every night. A must is the haggis starter and the fresh trout. Next time we will stay for longer and use this as our base rather than continually moving on. Thank you for a fantastic stay.

An ideal stay as part of the NC 500, the hotel has plenty of parking and warm welcome as you arrived. The room we were given had access through the garden with a separate room off the bedroom were you could sit and enjoy the garden. The facilities in the room were very good, it was clean and comfortable. The restaurant was excellent with a great choice of food and a large select from the bar, the food was well prepared and hot, service was quick and friendly. A large breakfast in the morning sets you up for the day, again a good choice. Best to book the restaurant as it gets busy.

Room tip: The rooms with garden access are excellent

We stayed in the garden room with direct access to the garden for our dog, complete with a small porch for us to put our rucksacks and sort our kit out, and our own table and chairs to sit outside and enjoy and evening drink. Food was tasty, good range of choice, and friendly and helpful service. Perfect place to stay with a dog.

This was an excellent Hotel with welcoming staff and a nice atmosphere in a beautiful part of Scotland
Covid guidelines were followed strictly and the hotel was very clean. The room was nice with a sun room and, at our meal which was lovely, my Wife was presented with a large slice of cake to celebrate her Birthday.
Staff were very pleasant and attentive with a nice bar area and a good selection of local ales and spirits.
It was a bit strange not having a TV in the room, which we were told was due to bad reception, and there was not a lot in the village for us to see, but as we had been on the road for a while we didn't want to do a lot anyway. Would definitely recommend..

Thank you so much for taking the time to leave a review.
We were all very pleased to hear that you enjoyed your stay with us especially as it was your wife's special day.
Yes, we have no televisions in the hotel and though some people miss this, the peace and quiet give ample opportunity to relax. The wifi isn't too bad so it is normally possible to stream something on your own device if you require.
Hopefully we may saa you again if you are in the area.
