We were lucky enough to be able to visit the Palazzo again. From the moment you walk through the big wooden doors the view and ambience is one of tranquility. Tall pine trees and orange trees surround the peaceful garden with areas for relaxation. A lovely small pool. In some bedrooms the baths have been replaced with efficient drench showers since our last visit. Sitting in the hot tub on the roof surveying the grounds is very relaxing. Even when the property is at full occupancy it is still easy to find a quiet corner to relax. The breakfasts are good Italian collezione. All the staff are delightful and very helpful. A great base of revisiting the Salento region

Room tip: All rooms except one have direct access into the palazzo garden

I booked one standard room at Guglielmo.
Our room wasn't the best! It was very dark, no natural light and a strong smell of damp plus shower floor look dirty.
The hotel has a jacuzzi on the terrace...we didn't use because it had a bad chlorine smell. Pool is nice but there isn't enough space for sunbeds (no privacy!!)
The garden is nice too and well maintaned except some cat poo near the lounges.
Would not recommend.

Such a serene and charming gem of a place. The restaurant next door sold delicious and reasonably priced food and the on site chef cooked the best meal we had in the whole of our Puglian trip. Even the breakfast cakes were incredible. We came here on honeymoon with a one year old son who got poorly on route. Francesco the receptionist went above and beyond any service we have ever had, travelling with us to the medical centre and pharmacy to get help. For anyone travelling with young kids we would suggest the self catering apartments as the restaurants don't open until 7.30. It was a perfect place to sit on the terrace and there is a fab pizza takeaway place down the road. We stayed four nights, it's a very. very small village in a pretty rural area so you need a car to explore. Not sure if there would be enough to do to stay more than 5-7 nights. Definitely recommend!

My wife and kids had a fantastic stay last week with Marco and his team at Palazzo Guglielmo. We were lucky enough to have the Sonia apart for our family which was huge, well equipped and a fantastic base for exploring the area.

We have two young children and the kitchen were open and nice and early with a phenomenal spread every morning for us and a big smile as well. The restaurant had a fantastic selection and was great value for the lunch we had there and the cafe / bar had smooth coffee and service with a smile.

The overall hotel is a restored old palazzo so shabby chic but immaculately clean. I saw a couple of mentions of the cats, they are incredibly friendly and very cool looking. Our kids were obsessed and whilst not a cat person myself I definitely appreciated their presence.

I can’t recommend a stay here enough, the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful (every single one of them) and it seemed like a great base to explore the whole area.

We loved everything about this place! The lovely staff, the huge suite, the beautiful gardens and amazing breakfast. We found the hotel to be very family friendly and everything was spotless. All our requests were met and we loved the hot tub too! Thank you so much!

Room tip: We stayed in the apartment (three bed) and it was so spacious and clean. We loved it!
