A beautiful property, peaceful, lovely staff and wonderful breakfasts. We were in a suite (Sonia) which was huge and very comfortable. There is a pool, secure parking, and a small choice of places to eat.

Quite simply a favourite place to be. Everything is just perfect and the attention to detail is quietly carried out in the background. All the staff are so helpful and friendly. The whole area is lifted.

All in all its is a very nice and pleasant place. The park full of orange trees, the overflowing swimming pool, the deliciously quiet and comfy living room area, the breakfast with freshly made cakes and fresh fruit etc.. all make for an extremely pleasant stay. While on the expensive side for Puglia, it is well worth it for a few day breaks from the outside world. The 2 bedroom suite we had (Suite Fante) was very large with a good air conditioning (40 degrees outside). However be aware this is by far not the price of a luxury 5 star palace (which would cost for a family of four 500€ or a lot more per night) and so do not expect absolutely everything to be swiss-perfect (our shower for instance was a bit unstable or the orange trees suffered from a disease when we were there so the sun shades were a bit stained). Be also aware that all the suites (Fante, Simenon, etc.) are on the ground floor, so you live behind curtains. This said, all in the all I would say that this was very good value for money for an extremely nice 3 day family stop over in the region. The fact that is small is also very nice (10 room I would say). Even though there were a few families like us, the place was _very_ quiet and and very relaxing. If you can afford it, and don't like the crowds, this is the place to go.

Palazzo Guglielmo (PG) is located in the middle of a small village (pizzeria, 2 restaurants, ice bar, small shop) in a former palace. Although in the middle of the village it is quiet and a bit of an oasis feeling inside. There is a pool (approx 10 meters) and a nice garden with citrus trees. The lounge is self service with coffe, cake (complimentary) and a bar. Rooms are big and comfortable (unusually soft beds to be in Italy) and the team are very forthcoming and nice. The attached restaurant is also good. Would say it is best for couples as the space out door is limited and not really adapted to children althoug there is a playgorund. Internet is available but slow due to lack of fiber in the village. The sea is 3 km away with a nice cliff bath in Castro.

This was our second two week stay in the Palazzo and a delight to return. Greated with warmth and fondness by the whole team. As the majority of people have commented, beautfully restored property with pool and restaurant. This year we stayed in Casa Margerita (2/3 bed terraced house) in the lovely gardens which was ideal with a spacious kitchen and small outdoor seating space. The staff are wonderful, nothing is too much trouble. We had a puncture on way from the airport, arrived safely but they took away the tyre and arranged its repair locally. We discovered more delightful towns and beaches along the Salento coast. Will return.
