“A fabulous location and a wonderful lodge”
Reviewed 8 October 2013 for a stay in October 2013

What a hidden gem this lodge is.
We had a lovely few days in this stunning lodge. We were greeted with a lovely welcome pack of goodies which was a great start.
The lodge is everything and more that anyone could want.
The location is very private but has lots of amenities close by.
The owner was very helpful to us in all aspects
Couldn't fault anything

“Fantastic Weekend”
Reviewed 23 September 2013 for a stay in September 2013

We have just returned from a fabulous 2 night stay at Kipplochan.
The lodge is first class with all the amenities that you could ask for.
Very clean.
On arrival we received a lovely welcome pack including tea, coffee and biscuit which was a lovely touch.
A 5 minute walk takes you into Kippford and there is a small shop in the nearby caravan site ideal for buying fresh rolls and milk.
The 7 Stanes mountain bike track in Dalbeattie is only a 5 minute drive away which was great for our family.
Will definitely recommend to our family and friend and will make sure we go again.

“Wow!”
Reviewed 16 September 2013 for a stay in August 2013

The most beautiful log cabin my family and I have ever stayed in! A lovely spacious yet cosy open plan living area with lovely bedrooms and luxurious bathrooms, all very tastefully decorated. We arrived late in the day and were given clear instructions where to find the key....on entering this stunning cabin we found a cheerful note wishing us an enjoyable stay and a welcome pack of tea, coffee, biscuits etc.....just what we needed after our long journey! I have to say the cabin was equipped with everything you could possibly need, even things you'd think you wouldn't need!.....very thoughtful owner!
The cabin sits in its own plot with only eight other cabins set in a circle with a pond in the middle. A lovely quiet location where all you can hear at night are the owls ocasionally hooting and the sky is so dark that the stars are a sight to behold!
There is a lovely little 'Tee Room' just a short walk away with very friendly staff serving delicious food and the shop on the adjacent camp site sell freshly made croisants for breakfast! Just along the coast Caerlaverock Castle was well worth a visit and dogs are welcome.
Overall we really enjoyed our short stay, the only problem being......it was too short!! We can't wait to stay here again!

“Tranquill setting, most enjoyable”
Reviewed 26 August 2013 for a stay in August 2013

Fantastic lodge, very roomy, very clean. Booked via Wendy the owner who was very pleasant and helpful. The lodge had all sorts of little touches that made our arrival very welcoming. There were DVDs, Wii games and board games at the lodge to keep us entertained at night The village was just a short walk away. The children had great fun watching the squirrels in the garden area. We look forward to staying again in the future.
