“Do Not Use this Company”

Do Not rent this villa or use this company Tripadvisor or the agent Rent Algrave Villas. They play fast and loose with your deposit and this is after the large booking fees and then when you ask for your money you are given all sorts of delays and excuses as to why you have not got it back. The agent Rent Algarve Villas then refuses to have anything to do with it.

The Villa is average but look out for the rats in the garden this makes the pool un-useable.

In response to your comments.
Having booked your recent holiday in our villa through the Holiday Lettings website, all payments are dealt with by them. This is the advantage of their payment protection policy. It quite clearly states on the Holiday lettings website that all damage deposits taken by them when you make you booking are refunded after 10 days (if no damages have been reported by the agent/ owner.) After the 10 days, if your payment was made by PayPal it should be received the same day, debit/ credit cards the time depends on your card provider, the average is three days.
After researching this matter with other villa rental websites, all the websites I looked at mention in their terms and conditions that the damage deposit will be refunded within various timescales, all longer than the 10 days Holiday Lettings have on their website.
As the rental agent for this property, I am not able to override Holiday Lettings policy, it is certainly not that case that I am refusing to have anything to do with it.
With regard to your comment about the rats in the garden. I believe the situation was reported to the reception and in turn to the owner, who visited you in the villa and arranged on the same day for Rentokil to come and inspect. It is my understanding that a rat was seen on the wall between the garden and the countryside behind. The villa owner was under the impression that you were satisfied with what she had done to try to resolve the matter.
Unfortunately, this was not reported to us, the agent, whilst you were in resort, therefore not giving us an opportunity to resolve any matters to your satisfaction. The only contact we had with you during your stay, was when you emailed us saying you were having a great time and asking for prices and availability to come back later in the year. I emailed you twice after this asking if everything was ok and if there was anything we could do, but you failed to respond.
I am sorry you do not feel you are able to recommend this villa to others, and assure all future guests that it is a lovely villa in a great location and that they can be sure of receiving any advice and support they may need during their stay with us.
