Lovely, dog friendly, welcoming cafe, great service, serving good food especially the breakfast, as simple as that.

We arrived today at about 1.00pm on a very busy sunny summer day in Craster. We managed to find a few tables outside for our party of 11 walkers. We went inside to place our order and the young lady who took it was very pleasant and super efficient. In no time at all our drinks had arrived followed a few minutes later by our sandwiches and soup and other items ordered by our party. The food was excellent and in no time at all we were back on our walk to Embleton

Highly recommend for gluten free food. The roll my sandwich came in was one of the best I’d had and the cake selection was vast! Service was quite slow but we were warned when we ordered and it wasn’t an issue. Will definitely return

Stopped here for a break from walking. My husband had fish chowder which he said was very good. It was served with big doorstops of bread. (No butter though) I decided to have a cheese scone and tea. I had finished mine before my husband received his soup. Having reminded someone that he was still waiting they said they were busy. The scone was quite hard. It was most likely made fresh but was maybe over-cooked but whatever the reason it seemed more like a biscuit. For what we got I felt it was quite pricey. Will not return.

We visited on a Sunday for lunch, sandwiches were the order and they were delivered and were delicious the staff were attentive and friendly so were the sparrows looking for scraps when customers left there tables, this is a dog friendly location which suited Benson (our Springer spaniel) well worth a visit
