2nd year in a row we have booked in at Paraiso. As always it was absolutely amazing. The staff even remembered us and nothing was too much trouble for them. Grounds kept clean, neat and tidy. Owners and staff certainly go out of their way to make sure their guests are looked after. Thank you Diane, Johan and your awesome team !! Fabulous holiday was had by us.

We were very pleased with the stay and will definitely recommend it to other individuals. The parking was a bit of an issue and there were not always enough space. The staff were friendly and housekeeping was good.Breakfast was great and definitely a highlight every morning. The view was amazing. We were happy with our rooms and couldn't expect more.We will visit Paraiso do Ouro Resort again should the opportunity arise.

The accommodation was extremely run down, not budget as was portrayed on the website. We were a family of 6, with 3 double rooms on the first floor. On all the days either the tv or the air conditioner did not work, although the staff was always willing and helpful to fix it, the problem persisted throughout our stay, which was 10 days. The bedding was not very clean and needed replacement as it was torn as well. The breakfast was very basic and oily, with no proper healthy options. The restaurant menu was also basic and the food was low quality and therefore very expensive, taking into consideration the quality. The location is the only good thing about this property and we will not recommend this "resort" to anybody! I suggest the owners consider an upgrade of the accommodation.

We were 5 couples visiting the resort, the booking was placed online as the resort promised a magical experience but was not a true reflection of the resort itself. Paraiso do Oura arranged for the transport to collect us at the Kosi Bay (KZN) Border Post and this is where the alarm bells started ringing. The cars used for collection were old and dilapidated. Upon checking in we were rather dismayed, the rooms were old and smelly, toilets did not work and doors did not lock and had no toilet paper as well as the television, some kettles worked others didnt, mugs and spoons as promised were not included in all the rooms. The food at the resort was overprice R60 for 4 tiny soggy oil soaked fish cakes. We discovered at the resort R1 bought 4 metical whereas in the rest of the town 4.5. While Mozambique is beautiful and the locals friendly and helpful, most of the businesses and resorts seem to be owned by a small group of South African's with their 4x4's living in luxury seaside villa's - we will definitely not visit Paraiso do Oura in a hurry again!

Overpriced, dirty rooms. Toilets smelled awful during the duration of the stay. The restuarant takes 2 hours plus to make 4 pizza's and there was only one other table with people. Loud music and racial tension everynight. Top 2 floors (50+ rooms) have to share communal braai area with only 2 braai grids.
Only good thing is the "free" breakfast.

I enjoyed the whole setting, it was a different type of living, but the fact that i could ride a quad bike to my door with my grandparents each on their own bike is priceless, its a good sleep for holiday
