We only had limited time to visit The Naze so took the opportunity to look around the area from the top, especially Hamford Water which I had traveled around back in 1992. We also had a pleasant afternoon tea there with good coffee (a bit of a rarity we found in Britain) provided by the Shepherds Hut coffee van outside. Note that the climb up to the top is up a steep winding staircase which, while quite safe, was rather daunting.

overall an enjoyable visit

Well worth a visit. I walked up the tower, which is interesting and offers great views (if you take your binoculars, remember to take them with you!). My elderly parents couldn’t tackle the stairs so sat outside with a cup of tea (and the binoculars!) The visitor centre also offers tea and cakes and a small gift shop. The area offers lovely walks, and you have beautiful beach below. Plenty of available parking.
