We played this course the last week in September 2016. It is situated 4Km outside of the historic town of Sully-sur-Loire and well sign posted. After visiting first to check for a tee-time we were offered the ‘special price’ of 48 Euros each instead of €60. Luck's in we thought! Oh the disappointment when we played the next day!
The course layout is pleasant enough. 3 loops of 9 holes. Few people playing on a Monday morning and the lady on reception, whose English was excellent, even said that we could stop and take lunch after 9 holes if we so wished. That would go down well with club secretaries in GB! That’s where the fun stopped. Going down the 1st ‘fairway’, and that term is used loosely, instigated doubts about whether or not this was the best €100 we had ever invested. However to cut a long, miserable story short the fairways didn’t improve. About half the greens were acceptable and the rest just appalling. And the tee boxes? Well I reckon that the Gobi desert has seen more water on them. Absolute disgrace for the price paid.
If you’re in the area and looking to play then go check it out yourself. But for us - we feel that we were ripped off. I’m afraid that I would never return here.
