When travelling to Hakuba the big question is where to stay. The town and ski areas are quite spread out and getting between them is a hassle. I am so glad that we chose Echoland and Hakuba Cottage. Nestled in the Misorano Forest the cottage is a couple of hundred metres from the restaurants and shops of Echoland's Main Street, with two onsens at either end of the street. It couldn't have a better location. Buses to two ski areas drive down the street while most others have a stop only a block away. The house itself is stylish, warm and brilliantly fitted out with both bedrooms being large and comfortable with great views out into the forest. The owner lives locally and takes care to ensure that your stay goes without a hitch, he was fantastic during our stay, checking we had what we needed, even organizing taxis for us when required. Can't speak highly enough of this property.
An exceptionally well equipped, well presented and well maintained 2 bed cottage in the Echo Land. Incredibly comfortable as a base for a ski holiday with good access to ski shuttles, local onsen and great restaurants. The host, Neil, provides service above and beyond expectations to ensure a great stay. We'll be back for sure!
Beautifully appointed and very cosy house in Echoland. 10 minute walk to bars, restaurants and shuttle bus stops. Awesome location. Neil, the owner, is very helpful and will book restaurants, taxis etc on request. Lightning fast wifi, more Apple TVs than you'll ever need; the great Nespresso machine which makes better coffee that Sounds Like Cafe. Highly recommended. You will even see squirrels foraging in the trees. Thanks Neil for all your help in Hakuba.
