“Country cottage escape”
Reviewed 6 November 2016 for a stay in November 2016

We enjoyed a lovely stay at Dolydd Cottage this past week. The cottage was immaculate when we arrived, with the addition of milk, wine and welsh cakes to welcome us. It is so cosy with the wood burning fire and under floor heating. The area is beautiful and offers a real escape, local shops are a car drive away so this is the only thing to be aware of (I would suggest a car is essential). We would definitely recommend the cottage and hope to visit again!

“Wonderful”
Reviewed 25 June 2016 for a stay in June 2016

We've just spent 6 days at Dolydd cottage in Maentwrog. It was absolutely beautiful & we've had a wonderful break.
It's small but perfect. Sleeps 2 in a beautiful Cosy bedroom with plenty of storage & has a tv/free view/DVD player.
The living room with kitchen is gorgeous, with a wood burner and Tv/free view/DVD player. Lots of information on places to visit provided.
And the bathroom is nothing short of luxury. It has underfloor heating, a rain fall shower & a huge jacuzzi bath.
Great location for exploring that area of Wales. A 10/15 min drive from Porthmadog/bleaneu Ffestiniog/Harlech. Approx 45mins from Caernarfon and 1hr from Llanberis.
Can't recommend it enough, we will definitely be back

The cottage is an absolute delight. We really enjoyed our stay. The jacuzzi bath is lovely and relaxing. Bedroom is cozy and comfortable. Kitchen well equipped and easy to use once you've got the basic uses of the oven programming.
The whole place is quaint but homely. We would love to book again in the future.

“A beautiful example of an endearing cottage”

We booked this cottage for four days, and despite the indifferent weather we experienced, would book it again, just to sample again the luxurious pleasures it offers its guests. Pre arrival we were given excellent instructions and guidance and upon arrival found a welcome pack and the essentials you need after a lengthy journey.
The photos of the cottage do great justice to the reality of the renovation that has taken place.
The lounge area contains two leather settees in front of a log burner with start-up supplies available. The lighting arrangements can suit any occasion or mood. The adjoining kitchen area is well designed and well equipped. The bedroom has a really comfortable king-size bed and like the lounge served with a tv. The bathroom would relax the most tired of holiday makers with its walk-in wet area and jacuzzi. There was also free wi-fi, but no mobile signal.
The two local pubs were ok but limited for vegetarians.....The Oakley Arms was better than The Grapes.
Maentwrog is a good point for exploring the region.
We really loved this little Snowdonian hideaway,
