I love this friendly theatre. Over the years I've watched it struggle and grow and it's just a great theatre.
All the seats have a good view and the variety of productions suits all walks of life.
The staff here are passionate about the theatre and work hard to make it happen. Keep it up.

Came here with friends to watch Eddie the Eagle film. What a superb night. Intimate atmosphere had all the audience participating in the laughter and pathos. Good atmosphere and very reasonable prices in the bar too. Highly recommended.

Shaw Playhouse is a little jewel of a theatre cosy and intimate you feel part of the show because it's only a small number of seats stacked directly in front of the stage and the bar area is brilliant and very cheap !! Was lucky enough to see the late Colin Vearmcombe from Black there last year the atmosphere was perfect for the set he performed also it's a regular host to the brilliant Clive Gregson who should not be missed when he's in town. I love this place but I'm biased its on my doorstep in my home town !! If you love music and theatre give it a try you won't be disappointed !!

A cosy little theatre located handily in Shaw centre. the standard of acts for a theatre of this size is very good with a variety both play type and music type. there is also a licensed bar for a pre or /and interval tipple although the selection of drinks are limited. it is not overpriced and booking is possible both at the box office or online.
