“Fantastic out of the rat-race place to stay?”
Reviewed 5 June 2013 for a stay in June 2012

Sue and Pietro were great hosts.Make no mistake this is in a small village up in the mountains. The views are fantastic and there are many great places to eat nearby. We had a hire car which meant that we were able to visit many places in northern Italy such as Parma,Pisa,Florence and Bologna with relative ease although good maps and sat nav are a must!

“Fantastic”
Reviewed 19 May 2013 for a stay in September 2012

Casa Terracotta is a small house, compact but bursting with character and maintains some of the original features. Masanti is a very quiet village in rural Italy. The perfect place to get away from it all. Great walking country (and other more active pursuits beyond us!). The cuisine is fantastic. There are plenty of places to visit in the vicinity such as Parma for the cultural part of the holiday. But the best bit is soaking up the Italian countryside, enjoying the nature, stocking up on the rest and just enjoying the place, the people, the food!! Suzanne, the host, is particularly friendly and helpful (and lives next door!) and is full of tips of where to go and things to see. We loved it so much, we are going back again this year!

“A gem!”

First impressions go a long way - Masanti is a pretty peaceful little village tucked away in the hillside and Casa Terracotta is a delightful little cottage. Very comfortable 2 storey well equipped and modern self catering accommodation for 2 but not for infirm, elderly or children. Suzanne, the owner, in neighbouring house, made us very welcome and the cottage provided us with a perfect base for our exploration of the beautiful countryside of the area.
Ideal for walking holiday, though we mostly drove - easy drives to beautiful Parma and Sestri Levante on the coast. A perfect escape from urban UK! We shall return!
