Description: Presse Cafe is an absolute gem located in the business district of Petionville. The owner Magguie Rigaud sees to it that the food, presentation, service and atmosphere are all to perfection. Great place for a business lunch or Sunday brunch and everything in between. Highly recommended for large functions such as family reunions with capacity for up to 100 individuals. Great decor with Jazz motifs.

We stopped in around 2 pm for a late lunch on a Saturday.

There is a really nice buffet with fish, cabri, chicken and beef dishes, as well as picklise, potatoes and other dishes.

In addition to the delicious food, there was a saxophone and drum playing nice soft music which made for a great atmosphere.

We came back in the evening for Dadou Peysaunt who was an amazing musician playing a version of Haitian jazz. We enjoyed the entire evening immensely.

Place was clean and airy; hostess was very polite and helpful. Accras were excellent but the food just average. Got my grilled goat fix though and my date enjoyed her creole turkey wings.

This café is a bit off the beaten path in Pétionville but well worth the detour. I had a late lunch of stewed conch and the owner said she prefers it cooked in white wine, garlic and parsley. It was deliciously served with small boiled potatoes and everything was preceded by a salad of roasted peppers that was just delicious.

I traveled to Haiti for a little over a week one summer. During that period, I visited this place and loved it SO MUCH that I just HAD to come back to visit this place AGAIN. The music is lively, the place is fun, and the food is ABSOLUTELY delicious. This place is a bit of a drive from the downtown area of Port Au Prince but if/when done in the day - the drive is very scenic. The staff members are very friendly, and if the technical glitches in credit card transactions can be fixed, then this would be THE PERFECT place on all fronts, to visit.

I recommend this as a MUST SEE to anybody in/visiting Haiti for any reason. Their seafood specials are a MUST TRY.

It is the place to be on Friday night, when the restaurant is packed with compas dancers. Great live music, cold beer. The food is less spectacular, though.
