It is the low season now and the village was so quiet. I walked around the whole village and only encountered 3 boys playing and 1 elderly woman, but many cats on the paths. The only noise came from an unfastened gate that was constantly opening and slamming closed from the wind. I like solitude but it probably would have been a better experience if there was more life in the town. The views are great and there are a few hiking trails that you can start from Pyrgos.

This was a lovely walk in a traditionally built village. It now has several upscale boutiques and restaurants.

We stopped in this charming little village during our trip to Santorini. There are lots of winding streets with shops and restaurants. It was quiet, peaceful and and uncrowded, unlike Fira and Oia. Pyrgos used to be the capitol of Santorini. Climbing the hill up to the churches gives you a beautiful view!

Very beautiful fairy tale like village. We walked the village and felt refreshed. The small shops were magical. The village is clean and awesome

For a nice stroll in the evening in this romantic village you will take your time, many things to see and to observe, many little stone houses with wonderful flowers, small streets, some original boutiques and a stunning view, a most romantic and eductative walk; here absence of cars it made your evening a favorite one.
