Table for 9 people we spent over £100 between us
My husband order the mixed grill when it come he cut into the chicken and it’s was not cooked
We told the bar man he took it from us and brought back a tiny piece of chicken no bigger the 2 ins long no proper apology
I then checked my grandson chicken kebab
And the chicken on that was also not cooked
We just got up and left and will not be going back
Don’t think they were bothered
This could make someone really ill

Went there after a funeral immediately after Christmas holiday. Very obliging opened early. Good steak, lasagne and garlic prawns real ale first class and at a very reasonable price.

Lunch at the tame Valley, excellent food, good extensive menu and specials board, busy from opening, worth a visit..

They have a daily home-cooked special for just £3.50. Today it was lasagne, garlic bread and salad. Not surprisingly, it was sold out by the time we arrived at 3pm but there are plenty of other things on the menu at reasonable prices. They advertise what the daily special is on Facebook so it's worth keeping an eye on their page. The chips were home made "real chips" today. After we'd eaten, the lady who cooked our meals popped over the table and had a chat with us. So friendly. She offered us her homemade cheesecake but we were too full. I noticed they also do a Sunday lunch, 3 courses for £10 which is good to know.

If you like delicious, home cooked traditional dishes, decent portion sizes then you'll love the Tame Valley. I expect we'll be going back often!
