After having originally started our holiday in a tent, which was destroyed in a storm, we stayed in Trehellas, as it was the only affordable hotel that had availability in the nearby area.
It was nice to arrive at the hotel and be nice and warm!
Staff were friendly and helpful, and I thought the breakfast was very good.
We did not eat dinner as we arrived late, but the lounge areas where you can order a drink were very cosy.
The room we stayed in was a smaller room, which is fine for the price, however I understand other reviewers comments about some rooms needing updating as the room was old fashioned, however it was clean, and this does not disturb sleep, which is the whole point of a hotel room!
It dissappoints me to see the managements defensive responses to some reviews on here, as the only way a hotel can improve is by taking comments on board, however I do appreciate there are many people who are unrealistic when leaving reviews with photos of flaws in hotel rooms which are really not a problem.
Anyway, rant over!
Lovely hotel in country setting, and would reccommend the excellent service and food and would not hesitate to stay again!More
