“Nice but could be better.”
Reviewed 9 August 2015 for a stay in August 2015

The property is exactly as advertised. It is very clean and tidy was fine for our use as a Midland's base for a family break. The kitchen was excellent and the bedrooms comfortable and spacious. The BBQ area was great and the parking very good. The property has a lot of character and was very nice for our 5 day break.

The hosts Ken and Nina were very gracious and welcoming although the 3rd lady (an older lady with light hair) was quite rude and aggressive when we were using the childrens outdoor games (a childs football) that the owner (Ken) was so keen to stress we could use the day before. As a result, we avoided the childs play area for the rest of our stay. Our attempt at explaining that Ken had encouraged us to use them just 24hrs previous fell on death ears and was very disappointing.

The bathroom has no proper shower which was a major negative. There is a shower attachment on the bath but you can't even stand up with it. For a property capable of housing 5 adults this is very poor. We also found the sofas quite uncomfortable.

Thanks for this review and feedback. I can only apologise for the incident relating to your use of the children's play area, which I genuinely believe is an exception as we certainly try to extend the warmest of welcomes and every assistance to all guests. In light of guest feedback, we have commissioned work to create a shower room in the Granary, using some of the space from the cloakroom. This will be in addition to the existing family bathroom. We will complete this, subject to availability between bookings, as part of current development to restore a further 2-bedroom cottage in the adjacent building.

“Very pleasant stay”
Reviewed 8 August 2015 for a stay in August 2015

Very clean property . owners very friendly. But with 4 adults in our party we struggled without a shower. We had water on overnight so everyone could bathe on a morning. This was noisy.

Thanks for your review and feedback. As mentioned in response to another review from your party, we have commissioned work to create a shower room in the Granary, using some space from the cloakroom. We hope to complete this work, subject to availability between bookings, as part of current restoration activity within the adjacent building, which will also create a further 2-bedroom cottage

“A little bit of Ye Old England”
Reviewed 26 July 2015 for a stay in July 2015

We were a party of 4 combing a business trip and vacation all in one, the granary is a very well maintained cottage in a lovely peaceful part of North West Warwickshire with good access to the many tourist & heritage sites in the region.

Inside the cottage it very well fitted out with good space and high quality furnishings however all the old world charm and character remain so it gives every room a lovely ambience that is quite unique.

Nice quiet location, good for day trips to Stratford and Warwick. Beautiful converted barns/stables into cottages, lovely and clean, nicely furnished. A very enjoyable stay. Look forward to returning.
