“Fantastic weekend”

A lovely little terraced cottage in a quite street in Dina Mawdy. ideal base to visit other local towns. ideal for walkers, nice pub up the road with good food with other pubs also near by.
The cottage had all we needed with a great log burner to warm the place up at the end of the day. I took my parents who are both in there 80s and they like us had a great weekend.
I will be booking again soon.

“Great place, great location”
Reviewed 6 October 2016 for a stay in August 2016

Very comfortable and well presented cottage in a quiet village.

The village has a very friendly local pub, which was most inviting after a days walking.

The cottage itself was ideal for my family and our dog. Lots of complimentary food stuff in the cottage (herbs, spices, condiments etc). Very well maintained and very conveniently located.
Not only was the cottage easy to get to it was located next to A470, so local CO-OP only 10 minutes away.
The closeness to the A470 also meant that whilst the location was quiet is was within a short drive from numerous places of interest including, but not limited to Barmouth

“Rustic and Homely”
Reviewed 18 September 2016 for a stay in September 2016

This is a homely and rustic little cottage, well situated in the charming village of Dinas Mawddwy. The cottage is very well equipped. I and my partner enjoyed cooking in the lovely kitchen. We spent the evening by the woodburner and wake up to a lovely view of the valley. This cottage is suitable for couple or family with kids. The only small inconvenience for those with larger group is that the shower is located in the master bedroom and it's the only one available in the cottage. For us, this is not an issue at all as it's just the two of us. Despite this, I think this cottage is absolutely charming. We enjoyed a dunk at the Red Lion and tea at the nearby village cafe and art gallery. We didn't meet Mark, the owner but his correspondence is prompt and friendly. Thank you for an enjoyable stay.

“Stunning scenery. lots to do/see . Or just Relax in front of log fire in charming cottage!”
Reviewed 28 August 2016 for a stay in August 2016

Unsure age of cottage but it is slate floor, Very thick walls and is as described 'Charming'
The village is not very big and we spent each day exploring surrounding areas. Mt snowdown was hour away but due to surroundings it's a lovely drive. Did not go to top due to weather.Advise only visit Mt Snowdown when blue sky to maximise visibility .
You can do as little or as much as you desire. We had a car, but did see alot of very fit cyclists. Also alot of hikers. We had a great time.
Mark ,owner of cottage was away but promptly replies to emails and was very helpful.

We believe the cottage was built in approximately 1870s.

“Quaint & peaceful - perfect!”
Reviewed 12 August 2016 for a stay in August 2016

Lovely little cottage, perfectly located 1/2 way between Dolgellau & Machynlleth....& only a short stroll from the pub ;-)!!!

Great local field if you have dogs for 1st morning walk.

Locals all friendly - everyone we met at the pub & the lady next door. So welcoming.

We only did 3 nights but would like to think we'll return for longer next time.
