Gavin Nicholson delivered one of the best tours we have experienced. There were 4 of us traveling on the Royal Princess. We took the Scottish Highlands tour which based on our requests to see and experience certain sites. Dunrobin Castle and Gardens is a stand out. Gavin arranged for us to watch the morning falcon show, which was outstanding. The Falls of Shin were beautiful, no jumping salmon were around at the end of May. We ate lunch in Domroch. A charming village that will capture your traveling heart. Stopped at several golf courses when Gavin realized that our traveling companions are seasoned golfers. Knowing that I am a avid photographer, Gavin made time in our itinerary to stop and take photos of beautiful Scotland. Gavin greeted us at our ship in full Kilt and sporen. Gavin is 6'7" and obviously stands out in a crowd. He made our day so much fun. If you are ever in the area via Ship or overland get in touch with Gavin, you will not be disappointed.

Due to Gale Force 10 winds, our cruise ship was not allowed to enter Invergordon port !!!
We were so disappointed ..along with 135 others who were supposed to take a tour.
Gavin the organiser was such a mensch. He returned all our deposits immediately.Within a couple of hours of us NOT docking.
It was his birthday too...June 14th. Happy Birthday again ,Gavin.

Having John as our guide was a blessing! His knowledge and anecdotes about not only the major sights, but the local area and its many little treasures was fantastic! We had a rough idea of what we wanted to do, which John took on board and tailored an exceptional tour for us adding in other little treasures, which always turned out to be rewarding.
My group normal functions quite 'off the cuff' and we had just planned to show up to places and 'wing it', however, fortunately for us, John took the initiative before even picking us up and reserved spaces for us on the busier sights and also booked us in for lunch at a gorgeous tavern.
Our day was spectacular, just with the sights alone! But Johns, humour, knowledge and personal touch made it so much more special and memorable! I wish him all the best and would definitely recommend him!

We were on the 12 day British Isle Cruise on the Royal Princess and were scheduled to arrive in Invergordon on Thursday, June 14th. We were so looking forward to the Dunrobin Castle tour. However, Storm Hector had other plans and our ship was diverted! Before we could even get in touch with Gavin, we received an email from the credit company saying that our refund was being fully returned. We also received a great note from Gavin explaining how disappointed he was that we unable to see his beautiful part of the world. By the time we arrived home (the 18th) our account was credited. We would definitely use Invergordon Tours again in the future and if we know of anyone traveling in that area we would recommend them highly.

Our ship literally came in the day we arrived in Invergordon and met Angus MacLean of Invergordontours.com Almost instantly, his warmth and humour won us over.

Not wanting to spend too much time in castles or distilleries, with a vague idea of what we wanted to see, and on a tight time line, we placed ourselves in Angus’s knowledgeable hands.

A genuine man, his pride in the place of his birth and his family was palpable. He is a great storyteller and his sharing of personal stories of growing up in the Inverness area provided a contemporary perspective to places with such historic significance.

We appreciated Angus’s flexibility and gentle insistence on absolute “must-sees” (he was right). As a local he ensured we experienced the best Inverness and the surrounding area had to offer. We felt like family. We could not have asked for more.

Thank you Gavin Nicholson, no wonder Invergordon Tours is #1.
