“Country cottage near Bath and more!”

This lovely cottage gave me the best of all worlds. It was so peaceful, set in beautiful countryside yet within easy distance of great places like Bath, Castle Combe and Tetbury. The accommodation was clean and warm with everything I could need and the facilities were great. The owner had really tried to make sure I was made comfortable with wine, fruit and flowers plus lovely fluffy towels and a truly great bed. I will be back.

“Delightful location”

This is a cosy annexe in a delightful location, situated on the edge of the village. We were warmly welcomed by Jenny who lives in the adjoining house, and the flowers, wine and fruit provided were a nice touch. The kitchen is very well equipped and the lounge diner has a lovely aspect, with views across to a paddock and fields. The king-sized double bed is very comfortable. Being 6 foot tall I found showering difficult as space is tight, due to the shower being located in the bath and under a sloping roof. Shaving was also tricky as there is surprisingly no shaver light or socket.
A five-minute walk takes you into Acton Turville village where the food, real ales and ambience of the Fox & Hounds is thoroughly recommended. The picturesque village of Castle Combe and the race circuit - the reason for our visit - are only a few miles away.

Enjoyed a relaxing stay in scenic surroundings.
Made very welcome by Jenny.
Comfortable and well appointed garden flat.
Handy for Bath, Gloucester and Swindon and for pleasant walks in the countryside.
Handy too for Badminton and Castle Combe
The Fox & Hounds in the village is recommended - Real Ales and hearty meals!

The annexe was comfortable and had all facilities needed (iron/ironing board may be borrowed from hosts). Pleasant rural surroundings. Fresh cut flowers a nice touch, and our hosts were friendly and helpful. Would happily go back.
