Hotel very clean and comfortable. I was a bit bemused by the bed settee!! Why not just put another bed in ? Rooms very clean and we'll equipped. I have to say the dinner could have been better, quite bland. Thats the only down side. I would stay again though.

I have been here five times since February (staying over due to a training course ) and each time it has been fine. Reception have been pleasant and easy to book in. It is in a convenient location for the motorway and near to the Northern College. Continental breakfast included in the price

You fall off the M1 into this hotel which makes it a great location. The Ibis Barnsley is a good budget hotel. The décor is very quirky. The reception staff are extremely courteous and helpful. The room, No. 125, was large, bright and clean and very quiet as it overlooks the back of the property. I was a little concerned when I saw the railway line, but was not inconvenienced by any noise which was infrequent and negligible. Breakfast, which was included in the under £50 tariff, was plentiful with a choice of continental or bacon, eggs etc. One concern, the hotel permits dogs in the rooms. Is this service restricted only to certain rooms or is every room available. This could be a concern to those with allergies. Just a thought!

Stayed with wife for one night end of October. Cost less than £50, with decent continental breakfast thrown in. Slept well, quiet night. Curtains in the room are very heavy, block out light well. Slightly more upmarket than a Travelodge, but a similar price, so good value.
