“The cottage is cosy, quiet and very comfortable.”
Reviewed 10 May 2016 for a stay in May 2016

Our six night stay was relaxing and we had the bonus of warm , sunny weather. The cottage provided everything we could possibly need. Our two dogs loved the gardens and local walks and local shops, pubs and take-always were within easy walking distance. Overall, a good holiday - we would certainly come back again.

The cottage has all the home comforts that you could wish for and is in an ideal location for exploring. Terry and Sarah were very helpful and flexible and we really appreciated their kindness when we had a family emergency.

“A gem of a cottage”
Reviewed 2 February 2016 for a stay in January 2016

Stayed here with 3 friends at the end of January and what a fab time we had. The cottage is cosy with a log fire, central heating, a private garden and a very well equipped kitchen/diner. We only needed to take food and drink as everything else (including dish cloth, washing up liquid, soap and loo rolls) was provided. The location is great - only a 5 minute walk into Bedale where there are tea shops, pubs and restaurants plus several 'muddy boots' walks from the back door!
The owners are friendly and welcoming and nothing seems to be too much trouble to them as they clearly want you to enjoy your stay. Even the weather was kind to us :-)

“Fantastic location for walks as well as eating out.”

We had a brilliant stay at Laburnum cottage and the weather was kind to us. The location is absolutely fantastic. Perfect for being out and about walking and visting local towns and villages during the day and then we can easily walk to have a delicious meal in the evening. Whether it be in one of the great pubs, the Taste of India (this is our favourite of the indian restaurants) or Panetti's, none of them ever fail. We even discovered Tallulahs for a quick cocktail before our walk home.
Couldn't resist having a bacon & sausage sandwich in The Pantry on our last day before we drove home.
Will definitely be returning.

“Lovely cosy cottage”
Reviewed 3 January 2016 for a stay in December 2015

Where do I start!
We booked the cottage to spend New Year in, arriving on 30th December. The cottage is well placed, 5-10 minute walk into town, and a lovely little town it is too. We used Halls chippy and spice of Bengal recommended by Terry for our New Years eve takeaway. It was delicious
The cottage is much more quaint than the photos show. It is welcoming and very cosy (I could quite easily live there). It is spacious and very, very well equipped. We went laden with washing up liquid, cloths, kitchen roll etc but everything was supplied which I quite honestly didn't expect. The garden is so long, would loved to have used it more with our dogs but it rained most of the time we stayed. There is also a gate at the end of the garden which leads to the beck which is a lovely walk. Finally, the owners. What lovely people, a fire was already made up for our arrival and a few gifts were left for us to celebrate the New Year. Terry and Sarah, you have a gem of a cottage and the extra touches were very much appreciated, my expectations were totally exceeded. We will definitely be recommending your cottage to friends and family and will be looking to come for a short stay in the summer. Good luck for 2016 and Thank You
