I drove from south Florida to see this bridge. It was well worth the trip. The people in that area are super nice too

This is a 2 hour plus drive from saint john new Brunswick. One way only to enter the bridge. Beautiful scenery of rolling hills and lots of forest with numerous moose signage. Gift shop was reasonably priced. The town has great signs up to navigate to the bridge. Stop and see the big axe on the way in the town of Nackawic located down by the community center and park.

Well when someone saids it a " something" this is exactly that.......a covered bridge of a metal span with corrugated metal. The bridge is rather long and only one lane of traffic, you have to check traffic on the opposite direction before entering.
Be as it may, it's interesting and we had to see it to believed everything it.

We learned about this secret in the covered bridge potato factory (with a very specal receptionist - more to read there):

An old tradition states that when you enter the bridge
And you make a wish
Close your eyes
Cross your fingers
And hold your breath for the entire length of the bridge
Then your wish will come true.

Please Do NOT try - if you are the driver!

I don't know why bridges are all of a sudden exciting destinations for tourism. We dread crossing them everyday on the way to work but somehow when it's far away from home and made of wood it becomes a sight to see
