This cottage has lovely views overlooking the estuary. Good dog walks are minutes away and the Beaver pub is literally on the other side of the narrow road. Here there is live entertainment most nights which can be quite noisy if you stay in. Also customers leaving the pub can be very noisy when you're trying to sleep. Otherwise it's a good place to eat and drink. The cottage itself is cosy and apart from a couple of minor issues such as a bedside lightbulb missing and no recycling box, has everything you need. Parking is difficult but there is a handy car park up the road. The garden for 'al Fresco dining and BBQ' is tiny and doesn't get the sun so not really suitable for sitting out. It has false grass too so dogs can't use it. Communication with the owner wasn't great. I e-mailed via Trip Advisor a couple of times with no reply. I wanted to confirm we would be met at the cottage to get keys and parking permit, as per the information provided but this was not the case. We entered via a key safe and there was no permit. Although we had a lovely time my biggest issue was the 'sleeps 6'. There are 2 double bedrooms, one with a single futon. I'm not sure where a 6th person would sleep as the sofas are small. The only option would be a z-bed somewhere, not really suitable for any longer than a night or 2 and certainly not for 6 adults. All in all a very enjoyable holiday but with some limitations.
The cottage had amazing views of the sea and estuary and was perfectly located. Inside the cottage was very homely and modern. Bedrooms were lovely and the beds were the most comfortable we had ever slept on. Bathroom very very spacious and very relaxing for a long soak after a busy day. Kitchen well equipped. The open plan layout downstairs worked very well. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would certainly stay again.
