Finally a restaurant in Grou, Friesland that doesn't serve meat/fish, spuds and 3 vegetables.
Norma serveert offers "Spanish" style tapas although not in Spanish sizes, these are Dutch sizes; large. Thus we could not finish the 5 course menu offered.
Apparently they source most of the produce from Spain. The food is outstanding; fresh, well prepared and creative.
The wait staff is very attentive, polite. A bit loud at times, it is Holland after all.
This place is a real find. It is a small establishment which only opens a couple of times a week so reservations are a must.
We had to book 3 weeks in advance!
Looking forward to the next time. Already decided to do a day of gardening so we are really hungry when we go:).
