nice things:
- people at the reception were very welcoming and friendly, explained everything and offered help when needed
- spa/wellness area equipmed by everything what is needed. next to the swimming pool- showers, place to sit or lay, great jacuzzi, sauna, red lights. at the entrance there are lockers if you need. we usually went with robes from the room by elevator directly to spa area.
- mattresses on the bed
- restaurant very need and beautiful.
- hotel was bigger and more beautiful than expected.
- in the area you can visit city of Gouda (city walk, shopping, dinner). we went also to Jurassic Golf Adventure for golf- really recommend it! it's fun, for adults and kids. next to the golf field there is a restaurant. you can make a nice day out there.
- cleaning service was very good
- room looked like on the picture
- big and comfortable bathroom- looked better than on the picture.
- great curtains- in the morning sun won't wake you up if you close it :)

not so great things:
- elevator is super slow :) so use it only if you really need it. We used it only while going to the spa, as it was more comfortable not to walk around in the robes :) not a big problem, just so you know.
- wifi didn't work. it keep disconnecting after every 3-4min. which was super annoying and without knowing I was mostly using my data. so be careful if you have limited transfer.

Hotel is situated next to a rather busy road. Great for accessibility but not so great for the noise it produces. In addition, several weddings took place during our three-night stay here. This makes the hotel too noisy for us and we don't want to come back here for these reasons. Really a pity since the service was not bad, the breakfast was good and the room we had was also very nice. Its just the noise that is ruining the experience.

The hotel is not far off the main road, but it is a quiet, semi rural location. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. The staff were very welcoming, friendly and very helpful.

The rooms were very well appointed. As we were there for several days we chose to have a suite, which was very good value on the site that we used. Our room had a a lovely, comfy bed, comfortable seating, tea and coffee making facilities and a fridge. It was light and airy. We had a door that led to an outside patio area, with seating. This overlooked the lovely, old windmill that is in the hotel grounds. The bathroom had a huge bath and a shower in a wet room area at the end of the bathroom. Everywhere was spotlessly clean.

The restaurant in the hotel is excellent. Evening meals were beautiful. No one minded when, one evening, we only wanted a starter and dessert. It is possible to take meals on the patio of the dining room. Breakfasts were also excellent, with a wide range of hot and cold choices. There is a pancake house in the grounds of the hotel, next to the old windmill.

The hotel has an excellent car park and is served by a very good bus service, with a frequent service into Gouda, terminating at the station. We used this service instead of driving and caught the train from the station into Amsterdam. The small town centre is just a short walk from the hotel.

A super place to stay and we would certainly stay here again.

Friendly staff for welcoming and helpful for questions.
In de evening the restaurant had fine food, really tasteful.
Pleasant wellness, we were mostly alone in the sauna and jacuzzi area.
The rooms are large and good accessible for people in wheelchairs. (Also in the bathroom: spacious!)
Breakfast was good, coffee on the table would be comfortable for us. I guess that depends on taste.

Had a super stay!

Lovely staff very willing to help. Very nice rooms but very hot weather no aircon but fan provided when requested. This fits in well with the green eco ethos of the whole hotel for example you need to use your bathroom towel for the lovely swimming pool. This must save tons of wasted towel washing at the pool and jacuzzi. Good bikes for hire. Very nice village walking distance away. A good stop. Great value for the price.
