We had an excellent few days in the Black Forest and this was a great place to stay. Delays on the motorway meant we arrived late at night in the dark, so we didn't get a chance to appreciate the surroundings but what a sight to wake up to!
We had been tempted to stay in a larger nearby town but were so pleased we chose here. A very quiet and chilled village, but perfectly placed. Lovely local bakery, very comfortable apartment kitted out with everything you need. Having meals on the balcony listening to the wildlife from Buzzards to Owls was the perfect start or end to the day.
If you're not up for a big hike I'd recommend the 2k walk along the valley to the local waterfall, a nice easy way to see pretty houses and gorgeous countryside. Do the same walk at night for some great stargazing opportunities!
The only minor issue was, as a relatively tall person, the low and sloped ceilings of the kitchen weren't ideal but this wouldn't stop me from booking again, it's all part of the character of the property!
Highly recommended, thank you!
