“Private Parkland!”

We have stayed at Les Parillers twice now. It really is a beautiful, relaxing retreat. The house is very attractive, comfortable and well equipped. The swimming pool is fantastic - it gets the sun all day. The gardens are stunning (all 4 acres of them) and like having your own private park. There is plenty to see within easy driving distance but we had such good weather we spent most of our time enjoying the pool and exploring the grounds. There is the lovely village of Precigne nearby that has great food shopping and a market. We can't wait to return for a third visit.

“Homely comforts set in a little piece of heaven!”

This is a lovely comfortable house set in acres of beautiful gardens.
Charming and rustic in style but with out compromising on home conveniences, comfort and cleanliness. You could spend all day wandering the paths around the garden, which was wonderful as my wife and I are almost eighty.
The pool was sparkling clean and really well maintained too.

“a great rest for the weary students and bewildered parents alike”

Les Parillers is definitely the most peaceful tranquil retreat we've ever experienced and provided a great rest for the weary students and bewildered parents alike.

My cousin and her husband joined us from the UK and really enjoyed it all, undertaking daily cycle to Precigné for the bread which was a great benefit to this lazy Irish troupe!!

The weather was very good to us with really only one rainy day and even that cleared away by evening. Finished our stay with four very hot days which gave perfect excuse for further poolside lounging, heaven! The clever design and aspect of the house showed to best advantage during those very hot days, providing cool sanctuary for the men (My son and I are not fans of anything over 24 degrees!).

The owners done a lovely job with the house in the choice of furniture and artwork, everything is so nicely in keeping with the original building and environs. My wife particularly admired the portrait beside the canopied bed, a real gem, and the woodcut in the kitchen but we all had different favourites.

La piéce de resistance though is definitely the beautiful park, deemed by all to be "unparalleled paradise". No matter which angle you viewed it from, the trees, the light, the shadows, the birdsong, the quietness were a delight, so soothing and such a unique and valuable asset. It proved perfect for gentle strolls, power walking, jogging and camogie training! Followed by a dip in the pool, what more could a body ask for?

It's rural France so you wouldn't head there for internet speeds maxing at 3MB download, a shock to the system coming form 120MB. As the world cup was on it was great to have the satellite dish with UK channels where we could watch Ireland beating Italy, being shaded by France and my English guests toned down my glee at Iceland's victory!

It strikes me that it would be most beautiful in Autumn and I think I'll have to see it for myself in that season.

“Looking for a change of pace; Parrilers is just that. Easy journey from channel ports”

loved the House, swimming pool, set in beautiful surroundings. Local shops and large supermarket in Sarthe. If you're taking the children pack their DVD's and family games. It's on my list for a revisit......

“Fantastic Relaxing Place”
Reviewed 7 September 2014 for a stay in August 2014

Returned here again this year and the house and facilities are second to none. The accommodation is spacious, surrounded by gorgeous grounds - we all enjoyed a game of rounders in the garden. The pool is good too (can be a bit chilly dependant on weather) and is very clean. All facilities were well provided for and the area is very good. La Flèche is a must-visit town. Cannot recommend highly enough.
