first: food is good, but nothing fancy, it is cler these people live on the positioning in a wealthy countryside and on being typical wedding location, even if with little charm.
second:
1. beware of your table room: I have counted at least 4 differently decorated rooms and one outdoor, with VERY diverse tastes, lights, furniture, table sizes and distances.... visit before not to get let down big time when there
2.service: lots of smiles but very little real warm treatment, proven by the management of exceptions and little complications, you do not really undrstand who is manageing the room who is simply serving dishes, who takes orders, who owns the place... which is not exactly professional

Caro esperto66 fatico, in parte, a comprendere il senso del suo scritto ma la voglio comunque ringraziare per la visita, per il tempo che ci ha dedidicato, e per la scelta di frequentare la bella Appiano durante le sue partite di golf.

What a beautiful place for a wedding reception! An idyllic, intimate setting with scenic surroundings. Perfect for children too as the gardens offer plenty of adventure and keeps them occupied (but not out of mischief). The food and service are first class. I could not have imagined a more romantic setting. Well done Tarantola. When I am next in Italy with the family we will definitely be paying you a visit.

Thank Tracy K

They set themselves high standards.
Service is very good and warm. The chef is very friendly.
Ingredients are of very good quality.
Preparation generally is very good, presentation like-wise. Flavours are well balanced, no aggressiveness there.
I had a fish-based meal - all of it was fresh, tasty without overwhelming the senses.
They have both à la carte and set menus; the latter can be an option should you wish to try several dishes in smaller portions as opposed to 2/3 normal sized portions.
Bread et similia are baked by the house, all very well done. The mini croissants are excellent, we all went for an encore on those.
The setting is quite charming, as it's surrounded by trees, plants and flowers.
It has a great dehors as well.

One of the best meals I've ever had.

The meal, the service, the setting; everything about the meal made it a truly memorable experience.

The food was delicious and looked beautiful, especially the prawn and calamari starter.

I would definitely recommend anyone in the area to visit Tarantula, if you have a little bit of money to splash out on a meal of this calibre.

Experienced a very good lunch at this place. The Crudo di Branzino (crude sea bass) and the Paccheri die Gragnano with lobster were excellent. Followed by the Maialino da latte (suckling) and the Scaloppa di Foie Gras, all cooked to perfection. The service is impeccable and the place must be a real treat with nice weather and outdoor seating. Probably not the last time we went there.
