Alessandro was our guide for a trip to the Anti-Mafia Museum in Corleone. Alessandro English is very good, a lot better than our Italian and his sense of humour is amazing! The museum is a must see we had a really great tour, the museum was moving and we also learned so much about the history of Palermo.
Alessandro then took us to the Royal Hunting Lodge at Ficuzza were we had a tour which was very interesting and the guides were very accommodating and we were able to get a tour in English. We stopped for lunch in a small café for a sandwich with a full view of the Lodge it was beautiful.
We then drove to the Ficuzza forest and had a walk to the kings “pulpit” where animals were brought for the king to shoot from the comfort of his own raised seating area. We then walked a little more to a point with the most amazing views across the south of Sicily, the day was so beautiful and this was well worth it.
We had mentioned that we hadn’t yet eaten Cannoli and so Alessandro too us to Caffe del Corso F.lli Biscari on the way back to the city where we were able to sample the best Cannoli in the world – perfection!
Alessandro picked us up form our apartment and dropped us back to our door at the end of the day. We had a great day and it was great value for the money. We felt safe and this was one of the best days of our holiday.
Thank you Alessandro ☺
