This property is on Hvar Island, situated in the UNESCO-protected Stari Grad plain, on an unpaved road. The pavement ends about 2 kilometers from the property so keep that in mind for your rental car. The owner had to guide us the property as Housetrip didn't give me the correct location. This property is 20 min from Jelsa, 15 from Verboska, and 10 from Stari Grad. There is a locked gate and secure free parking. There are 2 houses. One has a small kitchen and the other has a larger kitchen and dining area. Both houses have a stand-up shower. The property is surrounded by historic stone walls so it is private and there is virtually no one on the road so it's really quiet. There are 5 bikes and a pool area with sun loungers and shade. There is electricity in the pool area and lights for a nighttime swim. We could have used a fan or AC for one of the three night stay. We didn't have issues with mosquitos. There is a clothes drying rack and lots of outdoor seating and dining options and several hammocks. There is even a swing set and see-saw for the kids. The Wifi worked in the larger house and outside but not in the smaller house--a wifi extender would solve that issue. We didn't use the TV or the BBQ. The owner, Ana, went way way way beyond in showing us several beaches, one within biking distance, suggesting restaurants that we liked, arranging a private boat to take us to Zlatni Rat on Brac and being available whenever we called. She is wonderful and her passion for the area is contagious. There is a nice Konoba a 5 min drive called Dionis. Ana suggested it and made a reservation for us. We had mussels and fresh fish on the grill and it was delicious.
