“What a stunning home in a stunning location ”
Reviewed 18 September 2018 for a stay in September 2018

We've just come back from the most perfect house we have ever stayed in. This house is outstanding. The detail in this house is stunning. I love how it's all decked out in tartan and highland cows. Very spacious on the inside. Great shower an comfy beds. The views are stunning.we loved the hot tub. We were even out in it, when it was raining. So so peaceful.. So great full for the scones and jam on our arrival.. Don't forget to visit there cafe/gift shop that's just a mile up the road.. Well worth a visit for another scone and coffee and a wee souvenir from the shop..we will definitely be booking again for another visit.

“Amazing rental property in beautiful surroundings”
Reviewed 2 September 2015 for a stay in August 2015

Situated about 13miles north of Blairgowrie and close to the border of the Cairngorms National Park, Old Steadings Cottage is one of three rentals known as the Danloid Holiday Cottages.

We booked directly with the owners Phil & Sue as it was a bit of a last minute decision, but this was a quick and easy process to complete. We were attracted by a rental that offered the ability to relax in a quiet countryside setting, but also be close enough to some of the more tourist oriented towns to have some days out.

On arrival we were greeted personally and shown around making us feel very welcome, and were instantly touched by some little things that made all the difference (the log burner had been prepped and was ready to go, there was fresh milk and water in the fridge, and amazing home made lemon drizzle cake and preserves on the kitchen counter.)

The cottage has been finished to an extremely high standard making it feel warm and welcoming after a day out, and has all the facilities you could wish for. These include a great quality wifi connection, and an awesome hot tub in the back garden with stunning views.

All in all the cottage provides everything you need to have a great holiday, and we very much enjoyed our time there.

Highly recommended, and for us well worth the 9hr drive to get there! :o)

“Cosy, amazing views, awesome hot tub!!”
Reviewed 7 June 2015 for a stay in May 2015

-cosy interior with fire place, everything prepared from start.
-free WiFi worked well, great in lack of phone reception.
-hot tub with views to the mountains was a BIG plus!
-very comfortable bed
-host provided us with a few extras, such as home made lemon drizzle, home made jam and chutney, plus milk and water in the fridge. Little details that makes a difference.

We would definitely go again if we get the chance.
